Morning all.

We'll break 80 degrees here later.  I need to take the car in for it's 30K mile service later today.  Will probably walk at least back to there after it's done to get my excercise in for the day.  My wife has an appointment with the back doctor today, I may need to take her as she's had some vertigo issues the last couple of days.  Her back is much better after getting her knees done, something I believe both the back doctor and I told her that the knees could be the cause of the back issues.   Working on the stairway for the FSM kit as well.

Morning all,

Jeff, my car is already at the dealer getting serviced.  Just waiting for them to tell me to come and get it.  Good luck with the stairway on that FSM build.  It's a great detail but a little challenging with the railings, posts and what not.

I'll probably hit the workbench myself this afternoon.  Thunderstorms passing through today so that'll keep me inside.  ;)

Have a great one!

Good morning, Jeff, Bob and later arrivals.  79F is forecast for the NH seacoast later.  It's "cloudy bright" in Kodak terms outside, but rain is forecast for late afternoon and off and on through Saturday. My wife's craft fair has been postponed to Sunday.

No modeling since I last posted, but 3 days of 1:1 track work at Seashore.  I learned the basics of running a tie crane and worked with another operator to get us started with a Geismar MRT tie inserter. It has about 12 important controls, where our little Section Gang Machine does the basic job with only 4. But Geismar gave us the manual for their later, even more complicated MRT-2 and there was enough in common.

I'll look around the Forum while I work on Selectboard minutes, then probably outdoor work before the rain arrives.

It started out sunny but has clouded up in SE NH, 72 heading to 74.  Rain tonight and tomorrow...  I've been working on a machine tool model of a pipe threader.  I'm trying to decide if this will just be a manual threader or powered by the belt drive.  I think that will depend on how well my 5-spoke handle comes out...

May 30 the real Memorial Day

Memorial Day greetings and honor to all veterans. Had my semi annual visit with my "Medical Provider " this morning. Ok for another few weeks. He also gave me a couple Rx to, hopefully, ease what he thinks is sciatica pain I've been dealing with for a while  >:(

Might get at the layout as well as the lawn when home.

Be well all.

Good afternoon, All!  The rain has started, it's 64, headed (maybe) to 69 and the grey blanket is firmly in place here in the northern mitten.  Above the rain there is apparently a layer of Manitoba smoke, gifted to us for who-knows-why....

Apparently today is Auto Day... I just had the snow tires replaced with the summer ones, the LOF job completed, and I am, in theory, good to go for many months.  Time will tell.

Admin this afternoon and hopefully railroad this evening.  Make it a great day, All, remember the fallen, and stay safe!

Happy Friday!   ;D ;D

We have a new 4 week old foster kitty "Tink" with us for 2 weeks while we evaluate her for being ready for adoption to go to her forever home. She has CH so she has little stutters and shakes a little, but she is coping extremely well and does not even know she has a problem!  Here are some photos to brighten your day! Have a great weekend!
