Morning again forum crowd. Made it through yesterday with 10 fingers still attached. Not because of fireworks but from using hedge trimmers, lopping shears, and small cutters, cutting down the rest of my hedge. It's all loaded up for a trip to the town yard for disposal.

Well, a decent day in store, after yesterday's perfect day.  I should build up steam to work on the machine shop, I haven't had the motivation all last week.  Yesterday's accomplishments were cleaning a slow running bathroom sink drain (ugh!) and installing a continuous drain hose on the new dehumidifier in the train room.

add::  Dogs did OK with the fireworks, calming treats helped.  I'm sure there'll be some more neighborhood jerks shooting stuff tonight.  (Fireworks are illegal in our town, but not the adjacent town, which is only 1/4 mlle away.)

After a nice quiet 4th, we go forth on the 5th!

Hazy and humid but mild today, visitors from  the Doll's family are coming for the daughter's birthday today.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Stay safe!

Good Morning!

Had a great 4th but can't say I did much. Did make a little progress at the workbench and am at the bench this morning as I write this. Weather has been much better than the 'experts' said it would be. We have had rain but no washout and expect the same today. Enjoy the weekend!

Good morning, all. My big activity yesterday was hooking the rotary cutter to the tractor and mowing for a few hours: first the area I need to harvest the spring wheat later this month, then brush and weeds around the place, then a half mile of road shoulder and the perimeter of the ball field across the street - the contracted mower doesn't like going as close as necessary to bittersweet and overhanging tree branches. Boy do I wish the Mahindra I have here had the 3 point hitch convenience features of my 41 year old JD 1050 (Yanmar painted JD green at the factory).

Today the attic is nice, so having done my computer time, I'll go up there till it's time for my daughter's party.

Good morning,  We've been to Costco and went for a walk. We are going to a picnic this afternoon, so no bench time today.
