Hey Rick,
When you were doing your hikes you some often documented the distance travelled and change in elevation. Did you ever come up with a total? Just being curious and always enjoyed the photos.
Best to everyone.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

38 now, then a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 62.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Fluffy blueberry pancakes for today's breakfast.
Real Canadian maple syrup, fresh churned Wisconsin butter and sides of bacon and sausage are out too.

Mark, my totals for this year are: 94 hikes, 572 miles and 98,192' of elevation gain.
I'm going to try to get to 600 miles for the year.
Last year I did 800.

Philip, is the morning brew tasting better now?

Mike, you had a busy and productive day yesterday.

Greg, mornin'

Ron, clinic 2 done?

Karl, more 1:1 today?

TomO, that's a crazy story of the guy that killed his wife.

ACLTom, I have to get the eye done before I renew my DL next year or I won't pass.

Dave, when will you do the leaves?

Curt and Larry, the guy who flipped on the lights died.

Where's Jerry?

Hope everyone else is well.

Star and I did our hike yesterday.
I cut it a little short because sections were muddy and slippery.
Getting tires rotated this morning.
Also returning a set of glass food storage containers that are much smaller than I thought they'd be.
They have a set with larger pieces.

Some mentioned stories about working at food and pizza joints in their youth.
My first job was on the NJ Turnpike at a Howard Johnsons.
My friend Ron and I were both 16 and we started on a Saturday.
The manager told us to go next door to the Snack Bar (think McDonalds type of fast food) and work with Bill the manager.
We worked Saturday and Sunday and Bill taught us what to do.
The next Saturday we showed up for work and the manager in the main restaurant told us that Bill the Snack Bar manager quit.
He handed us the keys and told us to go open up and run the place.
We worked all weekend, no one came to check on us to see how things were going and we ran the place without any problems.
That place would get very busy busy with summer travelers and had buses pull up and pack the place throughout the day.

This was my abstract picture for the scavenger hunt.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, pastry, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 72F and slightly breezy. Yesterday all I accomplished was take Dad to his appointment then to sketchers so he could get a pair of shoes, oh and I talked to Tom for a couple of minutes.

Today is yet another appointment for Dad so probably no modeling, but tomorrow is mine!

Nothing much else happening this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, smells and tastes great. In Fl. when you turn 80, you need an eye doc to sign off the get the liscense.

Ron, yes, I did get it done prior to the rain. I had an hour to spare.

Mike, I'll need to cut it a few more times before the grass slows in growth.

Terry is stopping by for a visit around 1PM. Anyone in the area is welcome to come by as well.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. That's an interesting photo. Quite the feat running a "burger joint" @ 16 years old so I guess your well within your element with just a few years in between.

Curt sorry life is keeping you so busy but it does happen especially with a Senior parent. Enjoy tomorrow! Yup, I'll take another coffee too, thanks.

Tom sounds like you're getting back to somewhat normal; glad to hear it.

What's happening in your world?

It's yet another sunny 46 with a high of 72; maybe I can finally get the porch cleaned off today. Spent a couple hours at the bench yesterday doing some work on the boat.

Have an enjoyable and safe day!! Be well and hope everyone's medical issues are getting better.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice picture.

I have to keep this short as I have a Dr. appointment.
And I have one on Tuesday.
While they try and guess why I have shortness of breath all the timee.
They don't want my suggestions on why!!!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Rick, I played a bit with your photo in B&W conversion:

More work on the river bed today after time on the exercise machine.  Plus I need to go to the store, and maybe shop for shoes.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for coffee and breakfast.  Wow, what an introduction to work!

Curt, good luck with your Dad's appointments.

TomACL, Wow, Florida has some stringent licensing rules.

Larry, congrats on the porch cleaning.  Are you now finished with outdoor tasks?

Jerry, good luck at the doctor's office.

Dave, Skechers may have some Cowboy-themed loafers for you...

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning, headed to 77F.  I have some afternoon chores, but hope to make it upstairs this morning.  Yesterday I prepped and primed details for the engine shed.

Have fun,
mike

Pleasant sunny morning in Charlotte, (shar-LOT) MI about 15 mi SE of home. The Doll is shopping. I'm enjoying the prototypical FALL day.

1:1 took my day yesterday. Worked on the ongoing tree trimming and moved acouple of big logs, the tree trimming crew put in my burn pile.

I posted to my layout thread but it's MIA this am. I had the new 8 car string of  BeanO hoppers I renumbered and did W-W-K on (weight, wheels, Kadees) shoved into the coal mine loadout lead.

We've had 24-25 days of Indian Summer this month. It's been terrific.  8)

Congrats to TomO's Brewers, I think I heard his gal Terry jubilantly celebrating last evening, or was that a Coyote Pak?

Enjoy the day all.
