Good Morning John,

Thank you for the kind words on the photo. It was nice surprise to see the layout lit up like that. The timing of the sun position and my walking into the room just happened to coincide.I took about four pictures.

Well it looks we will be about 80 today and you are headed to the 20's. Sorry about that. A couple of months of that weather and you will rethink about not coming down to the desert this year. Only kidding. I know why! Enjoy the cool, nay cold temps.

That is indeed a nice light.  Low sun does make for different pictures.

Frank,

The light sure looks natural. Oh, wait, it is natural sunlight. Looks very normal on the layout, great photo.

I also like how the steel mill area is taking shape.

Good Afternoon Tom,

Have not been on the forum or doing much on the railroad lately. My Mom passed early yesterday at 99 and 6 months. She had been going downhill quite quickly the past couple of days, which I guess is a blessing.
Thought I should get back to some postings on the forum and play with the trains for a bit. The town of Chester is undergoing a slight change. All the buildings in the center of town are being mounted on styrene so I can put down the streets and install the street lights. Once the streets are done, I can get back to the steel mill complex. I have been moving the structures around seeking the most visual and functional layout. layout configuration is interesting and I now have another configuration to work on. I might even install lighting in several of the buildings. Want to help? Wait a minute, isn't your nickname Torching Tommy?

Have a great rest of the weekend and talk to you soon.

Good Afternoon,
I would like to extend a special thank you to all, for your kind words regarding my Mom's passing. My father went at the early age of 65, but Mom was the patriarch of the family for 99 years, 6 months and one day. She hold the record for longevity. The last week or so was the hardest, especially for my sister, who has watched over Mom for the past four years. There is a point in life where it is difficult to see a loved one suffer from the pain of aging. Over the last week, morphine was administered to quiet the pain. Fortunately, she passed and will now have a peaceful rest.
