Good Morning All,I have been working on painting the rubber rock formations in and around the town of Little Falls. I have quite a bit of the Cripple Bush rock in this area. I will take some close ups soon as the details really start to fill in. I need to add static grass and clump bushes before I add the trees. Mostly pine trees. In the meantime I continue to paint the rock formations on the back of the upper main line behind Little Falls.
I also need to finish the river basin near a bridge in Little Falls so I can start to pour the resin / water. The water and pine trees will add a great deal to this scene. I have 145 days until the railroad will be photographed. We all know that time is going real fast.

The three photos show: Chester / Little Falls / Ironia / Essex Fells and Upper Montclair with its trolley / East end Market scene. Enjoy the pics.

Frank,

Wonderful job on the layout. The three photos give us a better idea of how the track is laid through the towns.  Great job.

Good Morning Tom,

In the train room for most of the day. Sound familiar? Thank you for your kind words. I did not think about the track layout in the photos. Very interesting. So much of the layout is really hidden that what is showing has to be interesting. Still working on painting the rock formations and putting down the ground covers. Can't wait to start planting trees!!! Have a great week.

Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the view. The scenery is really starting to fill in. More pics soon with more details. Considering making a video when this segment is done. Have a great day.

Made some progress today in between some of the "honey do's" that the wife was after me to do. Spent quite a bit of time gluing down large clumps of ground cover. Photo one shows the area before and the second picture shows the clump foliage and some of many trees to come.  This will be quite a large pine forest. More pics tomorrow. I might even pour a little water. Lots of leaning over the layout. Not fun. A bit of a pain.

Thanks Steve,

Soon, Very soon. Maybe even today. If I pour the water, it means two days that I can't work in that area. Just thinking.

Several days have passed and I am still gluing clump foliage. that's the bad news. The good news is that I am getting closer to finishing this area. There is a partial mountain in the background along with a small ridge that runs along the back wall. I need to put a little sculptamold, paint and clump foliage. Once that is completed, its time for water. Then comes trees. A bunch of trees. I almost forgot, the buildings in the foreground need to be installed, ground cover, etc.... Well, I guess I am not as far along as I thought, but I am making progress. Here are a couple of pics taken this afternoon. Enjoy.

Hi Frank

Your making great progress. I always start out the day with a picture of how far I want to be at the end of the day - I usually don't get that far.  Why is it that projects multiply as you go through the day. All that matters is that we are having fun!

Frank,

The clump foliage is looking good. You can certainly tell it has been a long time since the last clump foliage planting. Have you given any thought to "refreshing" the older section?

Keep the pictures coming as you always say to me. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good afternoon Tom,

Another day of details and thought you might like this. Yes, there is clump foliage, but there is a couple of nice structures to enjoy. Thanks for stopping by and waiting for the postman.
