I've been looking through Martin Ojastes recent builds of three Campbell kits. Beautiful and informative
work on Towers Flowers, Grandma's House and Red Mountain Mine. This gave me a thought. I cut my
teeth on these kits more than forty years ago and loved building each one of them. Most are now either
lost or on another layout.

Starting this thread hoping that you will share photos of your finished kits. there must be hundreds
out there. These must be photos of finished kits, not those currently being built. To start things off, here
is my Saez Sash & Door lumber yard. Hard to believe these two kits initially sold for $26.50 each.

Hi John,

What a neat idea for a thread.  I wish I had some pictures to share.  I know I've completed the Sheriff's Office (I have no idea where it's at and I recall not doing that good a job with it), Bret's Brewery (I loved that one but gave it to a club I used to belong to) and the Stockyards.  I think I had a couple of others that I started but never finished and ultimately gave up on after packing them up to move and/or getting into FSM and other higher end kits.   :-[

John,

Great idea, I've built a few Campbell kits when I was just getting started. Grandma's House is the only one I ever kept. The station and Carsten's Flop House were sold. Hard to believe this kit has survived my many changes over the past 42 years.

I just built my first one before Christmas.  Campbell's grist mill.

Cheers, Mark.

S&S RR

Great idea for a thread. I remember building the Silver Spur mine, the stamping mill, and a couple of the depots. They are stored away under the layout - I had them on my previous layout. I'm sure they will need some work when they come out of the boxes, if I decided to use them on the S&S RR. I also have 20 or 30 of the un-started kits stored away that I bought from an estate sale. They were in like new condition and the price was right. I have a mountain town planned for some of the parts but I would need to buy or scratch build new window castings. It will be a few years before that project gets started.

OK, I'll suck up and join in here.  I love Campbell kits - here is the country barn and farm house.
The first addition to my layout and many more to build!

campbell's doesn't offer much in the scale i model (N), but i did purchase plans for their wharf, reduce the size to 54% and scratchbuild the wharf in n scale.  i'd put up a picture but i'm new here and don't see the option for uploading a picture.
[edit] i might have figured out how to post a photo...  stand by:

Hey guys, you've posted some great shots. Nice to see that many of you maintained
your structures in beautiful condition after so many years.

As a reminder, this is for finished models only. Please don't take this as being
rude. I just want to stay on topic.

What a great thread.  I built these a long time ago, the shed in the back was my first wood kit build.

The only Campbell kit I've ever built is their Bunkhouse B. You can read about it here:

Campbell 50' wood timber bridge as part of scratch built trestle. Have yet to see photos of
their timber truss bridge, one of their best models IMO.

I built my first Campbell kit - the water tank - back when I was teenager. I ended up building about half dozen or so Campbell kits.
I remember building Saez Sash and Door Kit #1 - I couldn't afford the second kit at the time! Guess I wasn't rich enough to have the $27!
I lost my initial Saez kit along the way, but still have the water tank! My current project is a "redo" of Saez - this time I have both buildings.
