I got the roofing done and couldn't wait to add some signs. Also put the addition on, still have to paint the roof.





next to build the frame for the big Mobil sign for the roof and working on roof clutter. The kit comes with some black gravel to put on the roof, still thinking on that one.

Another nice looking model. Do you add any other type of glue to the brickwork material or just go with the peel and stick?

Jim, on the large pieces I just stick them on. For the pieces glued on top of the brick I use a little CA glue.

I added the roof caps, chimney and roof access ladder. The big sign frame is just sitting there until it's painted.

The diesel truck shop is ready for the layout. I did go with the gravel roof, it turned out ok for my first one.





before I move on to the gas station building I have a small diesel tank to build. While I am doing that I have to whip up a few pine trees so I can get this building on the layout. Stay tuned more to come!!

Now it's on to the gas station building. Here is what you start with minus the roof. In the back you can see the tank stand painted, the tank is still drying.



If you are looking real good you can see the walls have three doors and there are only two there. The back door is boarded up.

Andy, you sure moving along with this build. I like the oil tank stand, I just might use that sometime.

Tom, I will see what I can do. The East Side Oil has been turned into Maracowski's Mobile gas and truck repair, which was a real place. The truck shop has been demolished and the gas station is turned into a office for a roofing company.
