Here is a look back down the street showing the relationship of the past few structures to the Emporium Seafood which is across the street.

And now for one of the most photographed structures on the F&SM RR, the Emporium Seafood Co. - one of George's FSM kits. I have lots of pictures from many different angles - I hope I got a picture that you haven't seen yet.  (Set 1).

The next time I make it out to the F&SM I want to get a room above Swee Peas Bar and Grill during my stay and try some food at Capt Frank's Seafood Cafe. I'm assuming Swee Peas and Saulenas have some good pub grub too! My kind of places and they are right next to Finescale Miniatures. Who knew?!  ;D

Awesome work John!

I'm glad you are enjoying the photographs. If George starts renting rooms out at Swee Peas he may be able to pay for his retirement. I wonder if the EXPO team has considered renting it out for the next EXPO.  They could put the overflow in the Hotel Davenport just up the hill.

There has always been a question in the back of my head every time I look at George's layout.....but never remember to ask....

Does George design his building footprints to fit the layout or does he just design odd angles and corners and then lay down tracks?

I'm not sure if George did it one way for the entire layout, but I know that for the City of Franklin George layout the streets and track work and then designed and built the structures to fit.
