Hello fellow modelers! As a rare female modeler, I wanted to share my latest project with everyone here. I have been modeling for most of my adult life. My interests have led me to the enjoyment of structure building and scenery. I don't have room for a layout, so I am putting my efforts into small scenic dioramas until that time when (hopefully) I can build some sort of a layout to place all my work. I love to super-detail everything that I do. I want the overall take-away when someone views my work to be WOW!    Enjoy and please leave any comments and helpful hints. I am always open for improving technique and learning more about all aspects of structure building.  Thanks for everyone's help!  Kimberly

Thanks to everyone for your kind remarks!
I will post more pics for sure if everyone would like to see more. In response to Mark, here are some close-up pics of the stone retaining walls taken before some of the scenery was in place. Also, there is a close-up of the fence which I am very happy with. It is amazing to me how much detail pops out when you take a photo like that! I kept a fairly consistent photo record of the build, so I can share any part of this you may want to see. This is a great kit and it's my first COMPLETED FSM kit. I am currently working on the FSM Seafood Emporium which I plan on making into a scene inspired by Doug Foscale's Execution Rocks diorama. It will also include the FSM Pile Driver and a scratch-built lighthouse if all goes according to plan.    I am going to be attempting my first try on building a sea wall and making realistic ocean water. Any tips, pointers, pointing me to help from the community would really be appreciated. I have read up on several techniques, but ya'll sound like a super helpful group - so sound off! Thanks again!

Beautiful work Kim! I'm very much looking forward to your next one. Emporium Seafood might be my favorite FSM kit and Doug's dioramas (particularly Execution Rocks) are most inspiring to me. Sounds like it'll be a great project.
