Well here is the start of my Challenge Build of Bar Mills Rustys Radiator Repair Shop.
First is the pictures of the Kit and all the Parts and the Directions.

This is a rather odd shaped Building and has a lot of over lay parts.  The windows are made of several lazer cut wood parts that are layered as they are installed and the same for the doors.  A lot of the parts and pieces are sticky-back but still need some glue.  I painted some of the parts with thinned Poly Scale Coach Green then wiped some of the paint off. The Battens for the front wall and the Sign were stained with Floquil Oak Stain.  The hinges and the sliding door hardware will be touched up with some Floquil Rust.

I can't Paint the the remaining Walls until I can the Motorcycle out of the Garage cause I don't want any paint fog to get on it.

Continued soon ( I hope)

I manage to find a little time today to work on Rustys.  I still have not gotten the Motorcycle out of the Garage so I still can't spray any paint.  It is too damp to do it outdoors today.
I read thru the Directions again and I decided to do the build a little different and out of sequene
I stained the fence section with some Floquil Oak Stain and assemble it.  I will find some signs somewhere in my junk box and put theme on the fence..
I stained the Rooftop Sign and the other sign frame with the same Oak Stain, and assembled them.  This was not too bad as the parts were Sticky Back and went together easy.
I did not like the rolled roofing on the small addition, I used some left over Bar Mills shingles I had.  A little chalk should fix them up.
The directions are a little "Hokey" but the pictures are pretty good

More later when the Garage is clear.

Hi Mark:

Looks like you're off to a good start.

I actually still have my built up Rusty's Radiator. I would be glad to post a photo of the changes I made in my kit if you would like to see it.

Let me know OK.

John,

Not quite as complicated as your Church.........and there are no castings to worry about 8) 8) 8)

I finally got some time when it didn't look like rain and got the walls painted with a light coat of white primer.  I then spent a lot time assembling the Windows and doors.  The Instructions are a little confusing, but the photos were quite clear.  There are a lot of little pieces to put together.  The sticky back parts do fit and a little Super Glue holds them in.  The walls are now finished and ready to be assembled, as soon as I put some signs on them.  That is the next step then on to the roof..The Castings have all been cleaned and primed and are ready to be painted.

To be continued (or as my Dad used to say...Toby-Con-Tin-Newd )
