Great, I'm up to about 10 followers now. ;D

I've tried to get all the photos to the same size but since they are from an old computer and off a stick, I was unable to change the size on many of the pictures. So, click on the picture to get what I call a normal viewing size.

I wanted a small farm on the layout and this was the only area I had for the farm. It was on the curve where a double track ran above and a single track ran below the farm.

Just to the left of the farm a curved #8 turnout was installed for a passing siding.

Here you can see where I've started the farm by adding dirt and scenery material next to the road. Under the sand is a piece of corrugated cardboard. I used the cardboard for my planting rows.

NOTE: I used this method long before it started showing up on Allen Keller videos.

In this next photo you can see the scratch built farm/cracker house. This is the same farm house that is currently on the A&S RR layout.

By the way, the road is Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty.

Here you can see where I added the rows of cabbage. I used small tuffs of the Woodland Scenics turf for the cabbage. The windmill frame is a kit bash from the SS. Ltd. Farm windmill.

Great modeling. I agree with Jan, the cabbage field was a excellent touch.
