Jim,

Yes, it is. Stay tuned. I plan to have this area finished by the end of June, meaning next month.

Looking good Tom.  You make it look so easy.

Mark,

Thank you, much appreciated. It is easy some times and other times I wonder to myself what the H--l are you doing Tom?

Tom,
Thanks for your continuing inspirational narratives.
What do you use to join the layers of blue foam together, please?

Chip,

You are most welcome. I appreciate you and the many others that follow along on the adventure.

The 1/4" pink and 1/2" blue foam are all glued with Elmer's White Glue. The pink foam is glued to the plywood with the white glue also. The glue doesn't attack the foam and it works really well.  Sorry, I should have mentioned it in the narrative.

The blue foam was continued around Baker's Curve.

I made a few sanding adjustments and created some new blue ballast. 8) 8)

I forgot to mention on each side of the foam is a very thin sheet of a paper like film.

You can pull it off or leave it. It glues together all the same. I've done it both ways.

The foam piece from the photo above was then glued in place.

I added two pieces in the corner for elevation of the trees.

The train looks good through the cut at Baker's Curve.

I covered the track and will start the process of covering the foam with spackle to form the sides and slopes.

Spackle was added here to bring the slope from the river to the top level.

I took this picture from one of my ACL books. This is the look I'm going for the next area of development, ie, the farm area.

The piney woods area I did is about 13 ft. in length. This next area is 15 1/2 ft. in length.

Great work  Tom. I like the idea of working from a prototypical scene. It's going to look awesome when it's done.
