It appears to be a bit more sturdy..... ;)

Greg,

Appears?

When you did the pull ups didn't all hold up except the small level? 8)

Tom ;D

I've blocked that out.....it never happened.  :-[

Greg,

All is forgiven since it never happened. You are still a SBG in good standing.

Oh no!  Say it ain't so!   :(

I'll be curious to see what you replace it with.  I've been threatening to buy one for years even though I have no place to store one and very little use for one at the moment.   :D

Bob,

Yepper, it is so my friend. The new one is one site now.

My 10 inch table saw was very good to me for 25+ years. For a buck 50 I certainly got my moneys worth. It was a SEARS saw.

I was looking at other brands and they were in the high dollar range and I didn't need one for extremely fine finish work. It is amazing how many table saws got bad reviews.

I went back to Sears on line to check out their line. I found one listed as a Jobsite 10" Table Saw for $450.00. It got great reviews and had many 5 star reviews.

I went to Sears and found the saw. It was in the box on the store showroom marked down from $450.00 to $379 and again to $178.99. The box was torn and some of the white foam was showing. Yep, I snatched it right then and there.

At the register, the girl said cash or credit. I said cash! She said do you have a Sears credit card? Yes, replied I. She said if you use the Sears card, I'll give you another 10% off the $178.99. I said the card will do nicely, thank you. Apparently cash isn't as good as it used to be.

Oh, and this saw is portable. It took about two hours to assemble. The instructions were written by a person who has never used a saw. Clear and unambiguous isn't part of a technical writers thought process.

This photo was taken right after assembly. The table hasn't been leveled yet.

I didn't get a lot done this afternoon. I helped the Babe in the Rose Garden for several hours and then the rains came.

I didn't want to roll my new saw out and chance getting rained on.

I did get the back wall third level started though.

For this long piece, I went with a harder wood instead of the white pine. The front 1X3 is 9' 10 3/4". I clamped a short piece of 1X4 under the 1X3 to hold this piece in place.

I did the same on the east end of the board.

More in a few.

I checked the level of the board and no adjustments were required.

I screwed it in place and removed the Quick Grips. This front 1X3 is 24 inches from the wall.

Hopefully the rains will abate tomorrow and I can cut some cross 1X3's for this third level section.

More in a few.

All is level and good on the Atlantic and Southern RR. Whom ever hired this carpenter?

Wonder if I'll be able to get my bubble level before layout construction begins?   :-\
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Tom,
While building this top level of your layout, do you intend to cover the next lower level from dust, drips etc, or will you simply spend time trying to vacuum the crumbs particulates.  ;D Thanx Thom...

Looking good, what you going to lite the lower level with?

Tom,

I think you should also thank the builder of the shed for making the walls so plumb. Just saying.
