George has been at it, again.

Here's what the Bedford Falls corner looked like at the end of 2016...

Here's what it looks like as of May 2017...

I was there yesterday (June 24, 2017). Saw a number of folks from the forum... the ever present Tom (tct855), Karl (postalkarl), Frank (fbernard65) and Dan (Raymo). Dave K. was there in the mix but unfortunately we did not shake hands (or my poor old brain doesn't remember it  :o).  BTW got to see Frank's exquisite version of I.M. Dunn.

Lastly after spending some time with George I'm thinking there's some pent up need to build something larger. Rather than just poke around on the 'old layout.' He definitely has 'the itch.'  8)
As someone else mentioned there's a small 4'-6' section where the casting equipment now resides that is a prime candidate. First he's got to find someone to purchase that gear (and the molds) so he can clear it out. There's also the area at the rear of the layout behind the Wolf Hollow to Dovertown stretch. It will be fun to see what happens.

It was good to meet you there yesterday Rich. You don't remember meeting Dave K. because he was there last week.  ;D

Yup the old brain definitely misfired.  ;D

Sounds like a nice visit and sorry I missed it.  Haven't been able to get by George's in a little while.  Will have to try to remedy that soon.
Looks like more changes being made on the F&SM.  Rich thanks for capturing the then and now.
All the best,

It's good to see George is staying busy in his retirement.  Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks for the comments folks.

I have another illustrating the improved lift bridge in South Manchester. I'll post it later this evening.

George sure crammed a bunch more structures in that area.....it really gives it a more urban feel.....neat.  8)

Unbelievable, he takes a great scene and makes it better. Amazing.

Love it.

So I see buildings that were on the left side of Bedford Falls (Barnstead Lumber main office building) now on the right.  What was moved in their place?

And what happened to the T. McAVITY & Sons Building. This structure has been moved at least once before.
