I've had the Tichy crane and boom car still sitting in my storage area waiting to be built.  They are really cool looking; but up until a minute ago, I did not know where to place them. The picture below is a static piece of track I modeled into the mountain (that I was considering removing).  The track only goes into the mountain on each side for about 4 inches.  The engine is a dummy loco that does not work.  I could place the crane and boom car into this scene. What are your thoughts on that?

Oh, BTW, Joan and I would pass Camp 18 when we would travel to the coast.  There was a doll house shop on Highway 1 that Joan would buy things for her dollhouse.  We always stopped at the ice cream parlor on 1 for a double scoop.  We lived in Aloha (just west of Beaverton) for 12 years.  Then the company that I worked for shut down and they moved Joan and I to NW Indiana because they did not have a toolmaker.  Joan loved Oregon; but I didn't...too liberal for my likings

Joan bought a wood post card from Camp 18 and mailed it to her girlfriend

I think a crane with a work crew working on the trestle would make a great mini scene.

Thanx Bob , the photo is from Mammoet, they build and own the cranes. I like how in the photo the 2 huge cranes seem to become One. The tall one in the back is more then 200 meters tall more then twice the Statue of Liberty.
I love photo's, don't we all.
