Did any of the F units get the red noses?   I know the picture I was working from turned out to be an E.

Is 5 layouts too many?  Yes, it is.   

Focussing on the 1941 Boston-ish layout and pondering a mid-70s D&H switching layout.  There are still a lot of airplanes and spaceships in the closet and who knows what else might pop up.

No, they were eventually painted into the freight scheme.  This pic is of 9960, the first of the California Zephyr black/silver F3s after the repaint.

Ah yes, that's the set he pulled out.  But I wanted the shiny one with red.  :)
