I picked up this kit at the Eurospoor model railway exhibition in Utrecht, Netherlands where I met Janbouli.

The kit is a harbor shed (harbour shed) in HO for my new Norwegian layout.
It comprises of instructions in German but with useful step by step drawings of the construction process.
The components are a hard cardboard that slot into one another to form the sheds. They are five - 2 double and 1 single. I just use PVA applied with a toothpick to construct the sheds.

Mike ....

Watching the evolution of joinery in laser kits has been really interesting.

Cool kit.

Thanx

Did you ever notice how many towns are named after their water towers ! ?

Following along , I have the gas station in N-scale from them, one of the few kits that would look right on an American layout.
I love photo's, don't we all.

How interesting.  I've not seen a thread on a non-American style kit.  Will keep an eye out for your updates.  Thanks for taking us along on the build! :)

Thanks Curt, Jan, Greg, Norm and Bob.
Through trial and error I found that some of the parts only fit a certain way. Patience is a virtue but with careful handling the model comes together.
Here are the parts of the shed laid out and constructed drying under Mrs C's kitchen weights.

Following on.......
Here are the built up shells - 140 ft x 37 ft - HO scale.
Next here are the self-coloured and textured parts to be fitted to the shells................ There are 114 parts in the kit and not bad value for 44 euros.

Continuing............
I must admit I made a mistake...........the strenghening strips inside the building between the walls should have not be glued in just yet. To do so makes it impossible to add the window mullions from inside the building unless you have really small hands. :( So with my knife I removed them gently............
The cover sheets are next which add the brick walling, forecourt, sides, windows etc.........
It was then obvious the white card would show inside the building, so I used spray paints grey and tan to paint the inside of the walls before proceeding further. ;)

While no one was watching I added  the layers to the sheels including the window glazing.

Very nice job Mike. You can't tell it's made from cardboard.

Mike,

Fantastic job on the build. Very hard to believe it a cardboard product as it looks very real.

Mike,

I find the different methods and materials used by kit manufacturers "across the pond" to be very interesting.  I think we as modelers get so locked into wood structures we miss out on other materials and methods that produce such realistic results like those you are showing us with this model.  Thanks for sharing.
