Time to make some signs. With every kit I build, I always make two copies of the original signs. I work off the copies and save the original in a folder for reference if needed later.

The signs shown below are copies of the original.

I cut the three signs I plan on using for this part.

I used the Elmer's glue stick and applied glue to the back of the three signs.

I then pressed them onto a thin piece of cardboard.

After an hour or so they were secure enough to cut out.

I used a new/sharp #11 blade and small metal ruler to cut out the signs. I very carefully cut the sombrero out free hand.

I used full strength Floquil Grimy Black to paint the edges and back of the signs.

When dry, the sombrero and Gusano Loco signs were glued to an 6 X 6 sign post.

A light coat of Hunterline Light Gray A&I was painted on the two signs, not yet weathered.

I next glued the roof in place. When dry I used Gallery Glass Liquid Leading for the tar around the roof and wall sides. The exhaust pipes were then added and glued in place.

I used Pan Pastels to weather the roof.

I then added the two front sloped roof sections to the front. I used rolled roofing paper for the two roof panels. The liquid leading was used for the tar here as well. You will be able to see this in the final photos.

I used 2 X 8's to make the sign face. 4 x 4's were used for the posts and 2 x 4's for the braces.

Prior to adding the posts and braces, I used the Mexican Food and Gusano Loco signs for the front. The two signs were glued to the front and left to dry. A weight was added to keep the sign from warping while drying.

When dry, I used a #11 blade to cut horizontally between the 2 x 8's. I then used the backside of an Emory board to weather/stress the sign.

I painted the front sidewalk with Floquil Aged Concrete and when dry, weathered it with light gray A&I.

I added the fire hydrant, dog and couple.

You can get a better view of the green color and stucco in the following photos.

I started this build on Monday afternoon and finished it yesterday afternoon. I think I spent less than 20 hours of actual building. Most of the time was waiting for paint or glue to dry.

I normally take 150+ photos for an average build but only took 46 for this one.

Also, I didn't go into a highly detailed explanation of what I did. As mentioned in the beginning, this was  going to be a quick build.

Thanks for following.

Time to dig out another build.
