Did anyone else notice that there were two clean shirts on the workbench in this picture?  I was going to cut that part of the picture off but then I thought there might be a helpful tip here.  I have two theories on why Howard has these two clean shirts in his workshop both may be helpful. The first is that Howard like yours truly has been know to duck back into the train room to do some last minute work while he's waiting for his wife to get ready before they go out.  Now if paint happens to get spilled on his shirt he has a spare and doesn't need to deal with ..... well he is still ready to go out.
The second theory is that Howard's wife gave him those shirts to put away were they belong but he got side tracked and set them there (never happens to me).  In this case when Howard looks through this thread he will remember where he put them so I left them in the picture.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the shop where all those great structures on the layout got their start.

Next time I will get back to the pictures of the layout.

Howard uses the back ground dios to photo some brass models he sells on the internet.

I keep a few shirts in the layout room for staining and wiping paints on stripwood. However, mine are t-shirts.

Howard has cameras in the hidden areas of the layout - the screens are placed all around the layout.  This helps protect all those beautiful brass locomotives.
