In the next photo you can see the extended rafter tails. The roof is now glued in place.

I then added the fascia boards on the gabled end as shown.

I then glued scale 2X6s to the outside edge of the roof panel. The roofing paper will cover the cardboard panel as well as the top of the 2X6.

Once all the glue was dry, the rafter tails were trimmed as shown below.

The trimmed ends/edges of the rafter tails were then stained with Hunterline Light Gray A&I.

For the second story roofing paper I used some left over from a previous kit build. The paper was cut in strips.

I'll also use Elmer's Glue Stick for attaching the roofing material.

I mentioned in prior builds my use of a glue stick instead of the double sided tape. The double sided tape is sticky and doesn't leave any room for mistakes or adjustments.

There are two ways I use the glue stick and it just depends on my mood and desired result. I started out on this build adding the glue from the stick directly to the cardboard roof. The first strip was then placed on the roof panel.

I then added glue to the next upper area and on a small portion of the applied strip a shown.

This method allows you to curl or peal up some of the roofing material.

The other method I use with the glue stick is to apply the glue directly to the strips.

The strip is then added to the roof.

You have about 45 seconds to make any slight adjustments/alignments to the paper strip prior to it really getting "stuck" on the cardboard roof.

More in a few.

The lower roof was next in the rolled roofing order.

I took a regular piece of copy paper and rattle can sprayed it with Ace Hardware Auto Primer Gray.

I'm also fast forwarding here as I applied the lower level roof with the same method as the second story.

Chip,

Thank you and I'm glad I could help. Looks like I won't have to hunker down but I still grabbed a Diet Pepsi. 8)
