Tom,

Once again I say thanks for posting all these photos of Cliff's fabulous layout.  I never tire of looking at the incredible modeling, from the city to rural scenes.  Great stuff!

Tom,

Thanks for the tip regarding Cliff's upgraded web site.  There are even more views there that I haven't seen before.  Truly an inspirational layout!

Anyone know what may have happened to www.magnoliaroute.com ?

I'll emailed Cliff and asked. I know in the past it would be down for a week or so to upgrade. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Thanks Tom.  He did reply to a post on another forum that he recently changed web hosting providers and it appears to be an issue with the new hosting service.

Yesterday my Babe and I had the honor of attending Cliff Power's final open house for the Mississippi, Alabama & Gulf layout in Brandon, Mississippi.

I really hate long screeds on the forum but I want to get everyone up to date.

First let me say that the Magnolia Route will NOT be a Fallen Flag layout. Pam and I met the new owner of the layout, Dr. Mark Stanton. He is a really great guy and is a doctor for the VA. Anyway, the layout was sold and will be relocated in Dr. Stanton's garage. He first said the garage is getting central air/heat and insulation prior to the layout being installed. It will go into storage until then.

Cliff was a great host and we certainly enjoyed our visit. We stayed about three hours and would have stayed longer except we were driving 10 hours back to Orlando after the visit.

I did get about a hundred of so new photos and they were mainly ones in which I was interested. I will share them all here in any case.

I'm really excited about the new layout, The Cumberland & Ohio Valley.

I'll post the new photos as I get them cropped and more importantly, when I get the chance.

PRR Modeler

I just went through the entire thread and what a work of art. I'm really glad that it will live on with another modeler. I can definitely see the influences on the A&S. I look forward to your upcoming photos.

Curt,

Thank you for looking in. This is an incredible layout. His talents are above all the rest of us.

When Pam and I went to visit Cliff the first time, June 6, 2014, I decided right then my old layout was not what I wanted. I told Cliff I was going to copy the basic theme of his southern layout. And, I did and still am. 8)
