Morning, all.

Up bright and early this morning to start my four day weekend.

Some "issues" arose last weekend when running trains with the grandkids, a couple of locos which worked fine the week before not running correctly, and a wire to rail solder joint that came apart (causing a derailment).  But I feel more like building a kit, which I haven't done in awhile.  Maybe I'll start a build thread after reviewing how to post pictures.

Our Christmas was last weekend, so I don't need to do any last minute shopping.   ;D

Morning Jeff, and all who follow,

First day of a five-day weekend for me.  Today's agenda includes lunch with my better half and shopping for a new microwave as our current (relatively new) one bit the big one yesterday.  Gee, the one we had before this one was a wedding present that lasted 28 or 29 years and still worked when we replaced it with this one.  This one lasted roughly four years.

Eileen thanks you all for the Birthday wishes yesterday.  In answer to Dave's question, yes, she's from Reading country.  She grew up in St. Clair, PA which, at one time, was home to the largest yard the Reading Railroad had.  Complete with a 360-degree roundhouse and a coal loading dock/ramp reminiscent of the one Fine Scale Miniatures offered (only much bigger).  We met at work when we both worked in a bank operations center that was located in an industrial park that was built on land the Reading's yard used to occupy.  Even then there was barely any trace that that yard existed there.

Have a great one!

Good Morning All,

Currently enjoying my permanent vacation. ;) It's OK. I know I'm a jerk, but I'm really good at it! ;D

Started out today with a walk at 57F but the air felt damp so I bundeled up.

Yesterday I started drilling holes for the grab irons. That will continue today.

Happy belated birthday to Eileen.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Don't worry about the permanent vacation Curt. For me, every day is Saturday except Sunday.

I got work done on the REA and will probably get more done today.

Have a safe and healthy day ya'll.
