Good Morning Everyone;

Looks like my turn to open the clubhouse. Coffee is on so help yourself.

 I've noticed that over time we have become a smaller group but oh well we still have fun. It is the dog days of summer so not much modeling going on, at least at my house however fall will be here before we know it. To that end it is time to think of the winter challenge. This group has a lot of train modeling experience and this forum's purpose is to share that knowledge so let's have a great one this year. Time for ideas. The Forum will be providing a kit prize made by Rusty Rail to the entrent that gets the most votes this year so let us come up with a really neat idea for the contest. SO let's hear your ideas folks!

Have a great day and thanks!

Good morning.

I stumbled across this YouTube video that highlights the efforts of Forum member "Restocarp".  I thought it was pretty interesting.  Here is a link:

Morning all,

A contest sounds good Jim.  I'd keep it pretty wide open.  Straight kit building, kit bashing, scratch building, structures, vehicles, rolling stock, whatever floats the builder's boat.  It's more about sharing the journey.  The tips, techniques, how to's as you would.  ;)

I finally managed to get that tricky little shelving unit I was working on together.  Took me several attempts.  Whew.  Now I can move on.  I'll share more on that in my build thread when I get around to updating it.

Have a great one!

Early afternoon all,

I got up early and started to edge and cut the grass. I took my time, took a few breaks and had lots of H2O.

Contest sounds good. It will be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

I'm taking Pam out to a late lunch. She want to get a salad. Okay with me!

Have a great day ya'll.

Jerry,

My wife Pam is from Baltimore and someone sent her this clip. He is a superb modeler.
