Here we are a month and a half later.   ::)  Using the original stair landing templates, I made the railings in place before adding them to the stairs.  The drawing on the left I used to make the lower stair railings on the template and added them afterwards.  I then added the awning over the door/upper landing.

Next up was the awning for the door on the back of the building.  I also reattached the loading dock stairs that got knocked off sometime I was working with the stairs.

Finally the front awning was build and added.  Then the guywire supports.  I use some NBW castings where they come out of the building instead of just gluing them on.  A hole is drilled into the building and then the NBW is slipped on and it's pushed thru.  I pre bent and cut all three to the same size before installation.  I also use the NBW castings on the outside shade lights where the wire goes into the building.  Except for the roof signs, I think the actual building is complete.  I haven't decided whether to change the sign or not.  There is still and outhouse to add and the details, but I can move the building off the workbench for now, before getting all those things painted.

Howdy Jeff,

Nice work on the awning and stairs.  I'd love to see a close-up of the NBW and guywire supports. It looks like an excellent solution for attaching wires to a structure.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Layout scenery and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Hello Jeff, I agree with Curt, your build is very impressive, some very fine modeling to be sure.

Looks great, Jeff.

Jeff, I am more than a little late to be commenting on your wonderful build of this classic FSM's kit.
However I must say you've done an amazing job of bringing your kit to life!
I really like the green colour that you painted your walls, gives it a completely different look from the really weathered & rundown version that George has built of this structure on his layout.

Thanks, Mike.  After posting, I noticed they were hardly visible.  Here's a pic of the guywires and a light fixture that have the castings where they attach to the wall. .  The guywires are actually close in color to the NBWs, in the picture the middle one looks green.   :o

Curt, they were a real pain to do.  Thanks for the compliment.

Jerry, there were some times I wanted to hit those stairs out of the park with a bat.  Thanks.

Hi, Mark.  It's been a long journey.  Too long.  Getting near the end finally.
