Ron,

This is great work. How often do you install the feeder wires?

Ron, that is some impressive track work.
Congratulations on getting it installed.

An amazing looking turnout! I think we have the same set of wire strippers! ;D  Love them!

Thanks for the comments Jerry, Rich, Larry, Curt Rick and Philips.

Rich, every piece of rail gets a feeder.

Philip,  I really like the wire strippers, they are one of the few pair that strips wire down to 30G.

Howdy Ron,

Wow, those turnouts are amazing.  Did you draw the turnouts, then build them on top of the template?

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Layout scenery and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Mike, thanks for the complement.

The straight turnouts are a #5 built with a Fast Track jig.  I drew out the curved turnouts, printed out the template (1 have access to a 36" wide plotter) and built the curved turnouts on the printed template.  The outside rails are a single piece.

It's been a couple of weeks but it's time for another update.

Going to call this one..............

The Track Gang Continues Work

Lots of progress has been done in laying the rails for the staging yard.

Staging090.jpg

The west end of the staging yard.

Staging089.jpg

The middle of the staging yard with all the track laid.

Staging091.jpg

The east end of the staging yard.  The track in the back that will be used for locomotive storage is the last of the trackwork to be laid for the yard.

Staging092.jpg

Now that most of the track has been laid it's almost time to get started on completing the bridgework required that will connect the staging yard to the rest of the layout.  The plate girder bride is complete so I just need to construct the trestle portion of the bridge.  Because of the height difference between the trestle and the plate girder bridge I'll compensate for that using the timber pile pier from Hunterline.  This is a "S" scale kit but it's proportions really suit On30.
That's it for now and thanks for looking in.
