Good Morning from a snowy New York sitting @ 20 with a high of 25 and another 3-6 inches of snow possible.

Coffee's ready along with the other morning beverages. Breakfast is homemade biscuits & Country gravy with sides of hash browns.

Some modeling this am then I see snow blowing in my immediate future. Stay warm, be well, and have a great day.

Good morning Larry, Thanks for the 2nd cup! Your lucky as it is a balmy 8° here!

Provision run to the local grocery is my agenda for the day and a bit of modeling later.

Have a great Wednesday men!

Morning crew. A cold 17° in Western New York. A couple of flakes, the ones that come from the sky, nothing else happening.

More bench time today.

Stay warm those of you in the north country.

Morning all.

Six cool degrees here this morning.  I'm heading out for a haircut this morning.  Otherwise a lazy hump day in between my two work days this week.

Mornin'

A relatively balmy 23 degrees here right now. Forecast high is 40 today and then 50s for the next 3 days. And then the next cold front rolls thru.

Real work continues to take too much of my time.

Yesterday I started cutting the 3/4" plywood circle (70", 85" diameter) for the helix support base. I am cutting through two sheets of 3/4" plywood with a jigsaw, and it is slow going.  I have another 36" to cut. Hopefully I can get that done and installed this evening.

Hope you guys have a great day.

Good morning.

I just returned from a grocery run.  Today started out at 15 degrees and we're headed for a scorching 20 degrees F this afternoon.  Yeehah, break out the shorts.  We've got a little over an inch of the white stuff so far with another inch or so forecast to fall during the day.

I have some "stuff" on order so I can move forward with a couple modeling projects once it gets here. Sure miss my local hobby shop that closed a couple years ago.  The closest shop now is 50 miles away...

I hope everyone has a safe and rewarding day!

Morning all,

I guess I'm spoiled here at 51 degrees and for me it is cold enough.

I'm in the train shed working on the Winter Challenge.

Have a great day everyone and for my northern forum brothers, stay warm and safe.

Have a great day ya'll.

Need French/Spanish help!  What's the word in either language for "truck"/"bogie" (as in "I replaced the freight car's trucks") and for "coupler"?  I don't trust on-line dictionaries to understand the context to choose the right translation.

Thanks in advance!

Single digits at start this morning, low teens while headed to my 10 am hearing appointment. Roads were "ok", used 4x4 for parts of the drive.  Back before noon.  A bit of part time sun.

Track cleaning and maybe other layout work today.  No plans to venture out for a day or two.

dave: Don't remember talking trains at anytime in my years ago high school Spanglish.  I use it a bit on the hispanic inlaws, they humor me with strained smiles.  One son in law no habla espanol..says he understands a little.

Everyone stay warm, cool, safe, happy!

Good Afternoon All,

Currently 56F and overcast, but it feels chiller than that.

I started on the kit today and colored a bunch of 1/8" strip wood.

Well that's about it for now.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Afternoon all,

Same weather report as Tom, Jim and Curt.  Chilly and damp.

I need to work through some e-mails, schedule some appointments, etc.  Then I'll see what I can get into afterwards.

Have a great one!
