The post office looks great but I do have a couple of observations/suggestions,

    1 - In addition to the I/A wash I would use a darker stain along the bottom of the building to show dirt splashed up on the building due to caused by rain.
    2 - All Post Offices I've seen also includes a sign indicating the town they are in.

Just my 2c (CDN) worth.

Ron, thanks for your comments and following the build.  Indeed, the lower edges need some darkening.  I plan to do that when I plant the PO on the layout in hopes of blending it in with adjacent buildings and the terrain.  Great catch on the city sign.  I will add one.  I appreciate your comments.

Your post office turned out terrifically.  I like the architecture; very classy.  As for the general neatness and clean appearance, I know you plan to dirty it a bit, but I think post offices were generally kept up because like banks, they had an image to maintain.

Looking forward to seeing your fine structures planted on your layout.

Jerry, thank you for your generous comment. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds".

I've been working on the structures on the upper level, planting the water tower, maintenance shed, and depot.

Today, I focused on making paths around the aforementioned structures using soil and tan sanded grout blend.  It's still wet, but photos will follow when it's dry.  

I permanently attached the hand car track in the maintenance shed and made a loading dock for the other side of the depot. The loading dock was one of the five-dollar Friday kits from Morgan Hill.  In true form, it is missing half of the top planks. It's a nice kit otherwise and fits perfectly between the tracks with a ramp to the depot platform.  I stained it, and when it's dry, I'll weather the deck and plant it.

Here is the obligatory kit contents.
