Also thanx to all of you that just stop by for a "look-see" at what's goin'on at The Grizzly & Dilapidated Ry. Co.....it's much appreciated ;D it tells me ya'll are interested and are keeping up with the project ;D  ;D  ;) ....

Today (Saturday) I broke down and worked on the retaining walls above the "Contraption pit" :o  :o  :o .....I started with a piece of pink foam that would render me 2 pieces that are 2" tall....about 3/8" thick....and 15" long ???  ::)  ;) .... I then sanded them 'semi smooth' and carved the 'layers' between the courses of 'rectangular stones' and added 'mortar joints' in between the 'stones' :o  :o  ;) ...I 'roughed up and rounded' the edges and seams, and then cut out the spaces for the 'stones' to 'dove tail' together in the corner ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)......

Here's some pictures...............................

OK let's just take a -look-see' at how this turned out :o ......Because the backdrop curves in the corner, I 'split the backdrop enough for the retaining wall 'corner joint' to slide into the backdrop just enough so that I can blend it in when I add some dirt to the top of the wall later.... :o  ;)  ;) .........

Thanx Larry C*,

I went ahead and removed the 'white chalk lines' retaining wall on the backdrop and began adding rock, dirt and some shadowy crevices in in its' place :o  :o  ;) ......I think it looks lots better & it gives me some ideas as to what to do with the giant pile of "brown 25"  :o  :o  :o  ::)  ;D  ;D ....(for those of ya'll that remember "The Groove Tube" ).... ::)  ::)  ???  ??? ....a wonderful little flick from 1975 done by the cast of Second City  Television....or SCTV as it was called for short....it was hilarious and totally without scruples :o  :o  ???  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;) I LOVED IT..........

Anyways....where was I... ???  ??? OH yeah, I'm gonna start work on 'rendering' the BLOB into something more interesting ;D  ;D probably this week.......here's some shots of the 'modified backdrop'...hope they look OK....
           'Brown 25 indeed' ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)  >:(  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
