Larry,

Great job on the fuel tank.  Nicely weathered too.

I too keep the instructions from everything I have built.  I have referred to them more times that I care to admit.

Ron thank you.I figured I paid good money for the kit I may as well keep the leftovers;
hate wasting money. At the time I didn't think I would refer to the booklet asa much as I have.

Nice looking fuel tank.  I can't bring myself to throw out old kit instructions/templates, either.

A little bit of an update:

Spent a couple of evenings getting the road put in which runs from the supply shed to the turntable. I did tape the road off so it would be a consistent width; a one lane affair and also it will blend in better with the other scenery material. Started with adding about 20 weeds down the center then added some dirt glued to the foam. After that dried I added the gravel leaving the center with just the dirt in spots then added a 50/50 mix of glue and water with a couple drops of dish soap to make it spread better.

Here's the other half of the road which ends at the edge of the layout.

This is just a simple shed without any windows and one door with a shed style roof. The rolled tarpaper was cut in 2 ft. strips and lapped 6 inches. Weathered it with 3 different chalks with a torn corner and a couple more raised up a bit. With the road all set I decided to move the diesel tank and shed further to the right and will make a smaller building to fill the gap so it isn't so tight with the road. That's about it for now and thanks for looking.

Nice little shed Larry. Tarpaper looks really nicely weathered.

Jerry and Curt thank you; just wanted something simple to go with the elevated tank.

Howdy Larry,

The road adds a lot of character to the module, as does the small shed.  BTW, that roof's gonna leak, it looks so run down.  ;)

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Masonic Lodge and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Mike thank you; hopefully the shed doesn't leak.

Rick thanks, wanted something simple to go next to the fuel tank.
