Hello Larry, you are doing a great job telling a story with your scenes. Wonderful modeling.

The buckboard is finished and came out pretty well; I would not recommend these type of kits to a beginner since it was extremely fragile. The instructions were well written and complete. Being a bit fiddly I used 2 different sets of tweezers to build the wagon. The horse I already had but I may just park it near the Wheel Wright's Shop horseless waiting for repair.

Yesterday I finally tacked the front facia. This was the first time I have ever added one of these to a layout so I think it came out fairly well. I still need the final nailing and also do a few touchups. The scenery material will go right to the back edge of the facia when I get to that point. Using black for the facia color I was amazed at how it draws your eye into the layout.

Next I'll be adding some more scenery, build a car or two, and run some trains. As always thanks for stopping by for a gander and for your comments and/or suggestions.

Larry the horse drawn wagon and the village scene both look very well done.

Larry, both the buckboard and the fascia came out great.  There are some good videos on YouTube on how to paint horses (from the military modeler community.)  They are all about adding shading.

Larry, nice job of constructing that fiddly wagon.
Facia looks great as does the overall scene.

Jerry

Larry great job on the wagon and horse. Fascia adds a lot to the overall scene!!

Wow Larry, just when you think it can't get any better it does.  The buckboard turned out great and the fascia really makes the scene stand out.

Curt thank you so much.

Dave thanks for the tip; he could use some shading to take away that "flat" look.

Rick thanks. The wagon tested my patience for sure.

Jerry thank you, it's coming along.

Ron thank you for your kind comments; they are appreciated.
