Morning all,

Four day weekend for me.  Headed to 84 degrees with on and off rain today.  I'm not thrilled about the rain as I have a trip today.  Last weekend there was an online auction of a LOT of CB&Q stuff.  I won several items.  The auction house is only 2 1/2 hours from here, and I suspect the shipping would run into $$$ so I'm going to go pick it up this morning.  It's my first road trip with the electric vehicle where I'll have to charge along the way, so prior planning was involved.  Hopefully I won't have to drive through any bad storms.

Jeff, which EV?  I'll be interested in hearing about how your trip went, as well as some photos of the new treasures.

I should get back to the machine shop this afternoon.  Lunch with one of my geology profs first...

Sunny  8) and pleasant weather today in the UP by the big pond. 650headed toward the 70s.

We went to see F1 with Brad Pitt last evening. Good action filled movie with a decent story.

Waiting for a fiber optic "fiber drop technician" to come Wednesday to put the new internet line in...he just texted me and said he was on the way, from Newberry, be here in an hour or so.

Jeff, Enjoy the road trip. Be safe.

Afternoon all,

I edged and cut the grass very early this morning starting at 6:30. I wanted to beat the heat and humidity. It was still hot and humid.

In the cool train shed now building models.  ;D

Hope all are having a great day.

Good afternoon.  I spent the morning at Fort Eustis with a friend.  He wanted to see the Army's Transportation Museum.  They have a large display of vehicles as well as railroad stuff and watercraft.  Most of the aircraft I flew were there, which makes me feel old.

Here are pictures of the two steam locos there.

Afternoon All;

Sitting in a chair shallow part of pool enjoying the summer Florida weather. We really do live in a great area. I had some bench time this morning, making progress and enjoying the project. Taking a good looking girl to a local Italian restaurant tonight with some of family, should be a great time.

Good evening, anyone who's still awake.  I spent the day at Seashore, re-installing rail anchors that had been removed when the ties they immobilized were replaced a couple of years ago.  It was sunny there, but home was overcast most of the day.  Tomorrow my wife has an early start for a craft show, but I mostly get the day off.  Which means fixing things around here.
