That has a nice rural look to it.

The doors bother me.  That's a lot of glass, and I suspect the railroad wouldn't spend the $ for all that glass. It's a security issue, too.  I'd replace at least the lower panel with thin wood/cardboard.

I agree Dave but if your wanting to show off the inside this would be perfect. Looking at the muntin as they seem a bit fragile. It would look better with a keystone in the arch. The cupola should have a vent for smoke  It has that medieval point which is weird.

Still I'd buy it if available.

Kinda ! Something different for sure. It's version 8,000 of the Gorre & Daphetid engine house. :)

Jerry

I like it.  It sure is different.
Great for showing off your locomotive!

Yep, potentially a nice kit maybe....

I just got my Labelle 1002 N Complete Kit in the mail. Why I waited so long is beyond me. This lube is great!

Philip, did you build this or is this Andy's.
Interesting design for an engine house.
I agree with Dave about the fancy doors but it will show off an engine inside.
Or, use a less fancy door and leave them open.
The lack of a vent is interesting too.

Rick, at first glance, I thought the raised central section of the roof was a vent, but I don't see any openings.

Andy laser cut it and made the 3d hinges. I think he's experimenting with designs. Caught my eye.

Philip,

The glass in the doors other than smaller ones at the top would be fine for the 1:1 world. However, for a model to see the loco in side, this set up is perfect. I LOVE it.

I totally agree. Probably think you're going to need some detailing inside, minimalist. I really like that building.

I also like the hinge design.

Trying my sculpting again on this figure. Easily burned up a day or two randomly working on this fellow. The armature connecting his feet to the holder broke and had to solder more wire holding it to the base. The next one will be a heavier gauge wire.

Howdy Philip, you are quite the artist.  The figure looks great. I can't wait to see it painted.  What is the medium that you use?  Have fun, mike
My current build is the Layout scenery and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Philip nice figure; the fellow not you....just kidding. Looks quite time consuming making this dude.
