Good colors on everything and nice neat assembly.

Curt great job!!! Love the details just glad I didn't have to paint them knowing how small they can be in O scale, can't imagine doing them in HO.

Curt, Jerry's comment above is correct! You are doing a great job with the kit.

You fella's mentioned previously that I should put up a thread showing my scratchbuild of this Foundry.
The main reason why I haven't yet done that is after switching out several computers, most of the build pictures I once had, are now gone. I did manage to find a few, so if I'm missing any, I will take some up-close pictures of my buildings, so that I can show what I accomplished in my build.
I also stated, first and foremost, I do not want to take away from you being in the limelight with anything I may show, to overpower your build. I feel that showing what we construct can be used as a teaching tool, and heck, who knows, I may learn some new skills too. With that said, I will put up a new thread.

Heck, we might make a scratchbuilder out of ya!   ;D  8)  :)

Curt,

I agree with the others, you've done a really good job. And, I also love the roofs.

Howdy Curt, the foundry looks exceptional.  The colors, details, and construction are top-notch.  It's amazing that you did it all in one month.  Well done.  Have fun, mike
My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Afternoon All,

Thank you Terry, Rick, Larry, Jerry, Rich, Tom, and Mike for following along and your kind comments.

This is a small update. I finished the walls of the Tempering Shed and glued them together. I built the roof per instructions but I didn't like the look so I built my own slightly larger. Although it's sitting on the walls it's not glued since the directions say to wait until later.

The workbench and furnace are just sitting to show their position when completed. The 2 walls not shown are just plain black tarpaper and will be hidden.

Nice update Curt. You are making way with with this now, almost on the home stretch
with this group of buildings.  They all look good to me. But what do I know?

I saw other modelers add some black chalk just above the fire door, like soot,
after they painted the bricks on the bottom of the firebox. You just need a light dusting
here and there, like when they open and close the firedoor. A little goes a long way.
Perhaps you can remember that when you get there. It adds to the realism.
You are doing well with this kit. And, oh! Thanks for having me...

YIPES!!!!! :o You have made a lot of progress since I last looked in.  The three buildings look great, I think I need to be looking in more often.

Curt, nice job!
I especially like the color variation on the roof.

Curt this is looking soooo good. Really like your color choices for the build. I see Brett included a resin casting; I'm surprised it's not a 3D printed one. Have fun painting that.

Curt...in the last pic, the wood fascia is showing on the shingle roof. I think the roof shingles should lap over that. Just my 2 cents
