Fall has arrived. Cool and clear.

Eggs and toast and Cherry Pie here this morning.  ;D

We're off to Lake Superior for a boat ride at the Pictured Rocks  :o. Should be fun  giggling girls.  ::)

My son was in SE Michigan late yesterday and saw these planes flying overhead

Said they were moderate sized passenger planes. Sure rare to see.( Phone pic through buggy windshield)

Well, off to the dock!

Twin engine?  I wonder if they might be P-8s?  Those are built on a 737 chassis.  Or they could be some other kind of surveillance platform.  Scheduled passenger planes usually don't fly in formation.

You need to load https://globe.adsb.fi on your phone's web browser and navigate to your location to see what's in the air.  That tracks ADS-B reports.  You won't see fighters, but you will see tankers, cargo planes and larger surveillance platforms, including P-8.

Nothing interesting in the air right now above me (I'm on the northern approach to Pease, so we get to see some commercial jets, a lot of general aviation/rich guy jets, and large USAF and international aircraft.)

add A C-17 just took off.

I'm still dealing with a sick dog, up 3 times last night and I haven't gotten her to eat yet.  But I think she probably will start eating later today.  That's a pattern, where something upsets her tummy and it's a couple days to settle down.  The other dog looks at her uneaten food and says, "That's dog food, and I'm a dog.  Why can't I eat that if she won't?"

I use FlightAware.

Nothing unusual by the time I checked the area.   I do see military at rare times. Mostly heavy. Always have macho call signs.   Area Army Guard and Coast Guard rotary wing usually track. None ever give a/c type, etc.

Good afternoon, all. Southern NH has been sunny all day and got up to the 80s this afternoon. Some of my friends are visiting fairs this weekend but I spent several hours in Concord helping organize, ID and tag parts from the Flying Yankee's 8-201A diesel prime mover.  Dinner will be at a local Mexican place, maybe some layout time later in the evening.

The Mexican place near the convention center was pretty good.  That's where I had lunch.
