Grey monotone and moderate chill in Michigan.  First round of NCAA is on TNT, not on our list.

Took the Doll to Grand Rapids yesterday, nice steak dinner on the way home.  Been awhile.

Doing book keeping, etc., this morning.

Little new to add.

Good Morning,

The morning beverages are all set. Breakfast is western omelet, Hash browns along with crispy bacon and/or pan sausages.

What's on your agenda for the day.

It's currently 26 with a high of 47; melt baby melt. Have the usual Friday am errands plus a couple of 1:1 things to take care of this afternoon. In between I'm going to start thinking about my next project.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Currently 56F and heading to 77F later.

Yesterday didn't happen as expected. I went to change Dad's leg bandage and saw the infection was spreading despite 3 days of oral antibiotics. At the ER they started IV antibiotics and admitted him. I'll find out today for how long.

On top of that son and I dropped his car off at the shop to fix the mirror. He had a appointment today at 0930. It must have been a slow day because they replaced it within an hour, so then we had to go back to get it.

Needless to say no modeling yesterday and most likely today.

When I made it home I found Ti the skunk enjoying my chair.

Morning all,

Curt thanks for breakfast but I'll pass. Pam is taking me out to IHOP for a senior special. Sorry to hear about your dad. When it rains it pours as they say.

I'll be in the train shed awhile and then some yard work. I did get the grass edged and cut yesterday.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Good morning crew,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and the omelet.  Good luck with the next project.

Curt, hope your Dad's leg heals quickly.

Tom, enjoy the train shed.

Karl, the steak sounds delicious.

Jerry, it's me having the surgery.  Good luck with the floor.

Ron, reading instructions?  What a concept.

Dave, good luck with your wife's back surgery.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a sunny morning at 41°F, headed to 77°F.  I didn't make it upstairs yesterday, just listened to music mostly.  Groceries and house cleaning this morning, then maybe upstairs this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

The Polish city of Wroclaw was pretty much flattened in WWII (German name Breslau) and rebuilt afterwards.  Across the old town you can find these bronze gnomes.  Here are some of them:

This afternoon I have a cataract surgery evaluation.  I'm guessing this time I'll "pass" and get scheduled for surgery.  So not a lot of Training today.  But yesterday I glued down a grass mat behind the farm.  So later today I'll look at that and see if I like how it looks.

Good morning everyone.

It's 55 in Flagstaff, sunny and 78 later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and I look forward to your next project.

Curt, sorry about dad's leg.
Hope he doesn't have to stay in hospital long.
Cute photo of the skunk.

ACLTom, enjoy your iHOP breakfast.

Mike, listening to music sounds like a great day.

Karl, glad you enjoyed the steaks.

Jerry, hope the plaster pour went well and I'm still voting plastic.

Ron, glad the instructions were helpful.

Dave, that mountain scene is beautiful.

James, I didn't see the sidings but I did see that A-1 Mountain Rd. sign.

How's the rest of the crew today?

Yesterdays hike was a tough one.
11 miles and 1,532' of EG.
The miles and climbing wasn't the issue.
The higher altitude, trailhead at 9,200', was and most of the climbing was on the way back after I'd already done 6+ miles.
It just means I have to do more hiking at high altitudes to get in better shape.

Some good news.
Remember I posted that I couldn't find the videos from my visit at the Northern Nevada RR?
Well, I found them and one of these days I'll have to edit and post them.

Gym and REI today to spend the $100 gift certificate I have.

Good morning Larry, Curt, ACLTom, Mike, Dave, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for breakfast and coffee Larry, looking forward to your next project.

Curt, sorry to hear about your Dad's hospital stay, hope it isn't a long stay.

Tom, have fun in the train shed this morning.

Mike, listening to music all day sounds like a great way to pass the day.

Dave, hope you pass the cataract evaluation and you can get the surgery.

Rick, glad you found your Northern Nevada RR Video, looking forward to watching it when you fine time to edit and post it.

Current temperature is -4c (25f) and overcast.  Worked on the building last night and I got so excited I misread the instructions.  :o  I thought that the inside of the building got siding, but alas I was too hopeful.  I figured out the mistake after I sided the 2 long walls and realized there wasn't enough siding to do both the inside and outside (grrrrrrrrr).  Not an issue as I'll build it as a mirror image of the original.  Later today I'll be packing the car with my modules as we have a modular setup this weekend.

Have a great day everyone.

Just love the little guy sleeping in the chair.

Tom glad your getting a head start on the yard work.

Mike good luck with the surgery.

Morning Dave.

Rick beautiful picture.
Looking forward to the video.
Hell I'm out of breath just thinking about walking that far!!

Ron nothing wrong with having siding inside the building.

Weather i South Jersey is sunny/55.
First day of Spring and the daffodils are already out and flowered here.
One of the grandsons is here for the weekend.
Right now he's working.

I'll get to do some modeling later in the day.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. I haven't had pancakes in ages. Look forward to your next project.

Started out the day with a walk at 53F and getting to 81F later. About 1 pm yesterday Dad was released from the hospital. Both the nurse and I were surprised. The wound is healing nicely but the area around it is a nasty looking brownish red. No workbench yesterday.

Today after chores I WILL get some modeling time in. Last night MOH told me she won a door prize at the quilt fair her and her BFF were at. She will get it today. The last door prize she won was a sewing machine that she gave to a single mother.

That's enough blabbing for now.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

50 in Bellemont, sunny and 76 later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Interested in what the next project will be.

Curt, glad dad got to go home and I hope his wound continues to heal properly.

Karl, they did a nice job clearing the road.

Jerry, enjoy time with the grandson.

Ron, have fun with the modular crew.

James, I passed by that section of highway that you posted yesterday and caught a glimpse of the track below.

How's everyone else.

Hit the gym then to REI where I got a new day pack that holds a larger 3 liter water bladder.
Then went back to Bellemont to the same spot I camped earlier in the week.
Not much planned for today.
Maybe start working on my video.

Good morning, Larry, Curt, Rick and the later risers.  The NH seacoast is overcast and 40-ish, with sun forecast to peek through in a few hours.  I've released and fed the chickens. Next breakfast before 4 hours of trolley museum Zooms.  I'll probably be able to make some progress on other computer chores, but no layout time till afternoon at best.

Rick, I've railfanned I-40/66 to Williams several times, but all the locations I have slides from you're more or less at track level. The Williams area has more interesting shots, particularly if you catch a Phoenix train making a run for the grade.
