I'm back from my quarterly fasting blood draw, and subsequent big breakfast.  I'll ponder what to do on the layout in a bit, after some time on the exercise machine.

Good afternoon, all. Nice video, Rick. I must have seen Skeleton Point from above on my visits from the South Rim, but I've never hiked down into the canyon itself.

Good afternoon,

Thanks for all the get-well wishes.  Cataract surgery was a breeze.  The swelling in my right eye has gone down.  The next few days will be mostly spent staying still.

Have fun,

Mike, great to hear on both eyes!

Did you wear glasses full-time before?  I'm wondering what I'll do "between my eyes", when the first eye is done but the second eye still needs the (significant) prescription lens for both near and far viewing.

Morning Gents,

I see Curt's here so we may have a choice of breakfast this morning. The beverages are all set and breakfast is waffles, butter, syrup with sides of crispy bacon and/or pan sausage.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny but frosty 21 with a high of 53. Chiropractor's apt. shortly then about noon time taking Ellie for a routine Cardiologist appointment then probably grab dinner out and bring home. Not sure if the bench is in my future today.

Have a great day!! Be well and hope those of you injured or feeling poorly are on the mend.

28o and sunny 8)  going on 0800 in SW Central lower MI this morning.  Forecast is to be a bit warmer today, ~60o :D

I worked on the layout yesterday off and on.

Mike, good news on the eye.  Hopefully the down time will be easy to manage.

Enjoy the day all. ;D

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Enjoy your day. Next chapter?

Started out the day with a walk at 65F and  getting in the 70's later I think. Well the rain and wind apocalypse didn't happen. We did get about 2" of rain.

Yesterday I finished the main loading dock with 2 more to go and several porch roofs to build.

Today is floor day and then later I'm meeting up with Terry (VietnamSeabee) for coffee. Probably no bench time today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

It's 41 at the GCNP, sunny and 71 later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and enjoy your dinner out.

Karl, glad you found some layout time.

Curt, say hello to Terry for me and enjoy the coffee.

Mike, glad you were able to get the cataract procedure done and that the swelling is going down.

James, thanks, glad you liked the video.
Not sure if you can see Skeleton Point from the top.
If you can you'd probably need binoculars because it's 3 miles down.

Dave, amazing how those were built so long ago.

Philip, mowers all tip-top now?

Jerry, any bench progress?

Ron, hope the wife's surgery was a success and she's recovering.

ACLTom, hope you won all your games.

How's everyone else?

Walked with Star along the dirt road next to my campsite.
Found a short cut into town where I can get water.
Also saw a small herd of Elk.
Surprisingly Star didn't seem too interested in them.
Just going to hang out today and prep for tomorrow's hike.

A panorama I shot with the phone at Skeleton Point.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry. Waffles work for me this morning.

Mike, happy to hear the eye surgery was a breeze and the swelling is done.

Bowling wasn't to good yesterday. The other team bowled out their A**es. I did have a game over 200 and we won that game, still lost 2-6. Two more weeks and I'm ready.

Not much else is going on.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Two photos from Athens this morning.  There's more to see than just the Parthenon:

It's still cool (down to 24 last night) but it's bright sunny today heading to 47.  The little bit of snow still on the grass from yesterday will be gone quickly.  I'm still debating on what to tackle today.  I did some scenery/static grass yesterday but had problems with the adhesive balling up as I spread it before shaking the grass.  I'll see how it looks this morning.

Good morning,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Good luck to you guys at the docs.

Thanks, everyone, for the get-well wishes.  I just returned from the post op doctor visit, and all is well.  Sadly, I have a sinus infection that I need to deal with...  The right eye is healing.

Have fun,
mike
