Good morning Curt, Rick, Tom, Larry, Mike, Karl, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.

Rick, I hike 15 miles once, took me 6 days to do it. 😊  Safe driving.

Tom, enjoy your day with Pam.

Larry, sounds like it will be awhile before the garage door is installed, enjoy dinner with your daughter, glad she is feeling better.

Mike, hope the taxman won't be too hard on you.

Karl, have fun with grand baby #1.

Jerry, have fun at the bench.

Current weather here is 5c (41f) with the sun poking through the clouds.  Just got back from the hospital.  The Wife's surgery went well yesterday but they kept her overnight for observations.  Found out while visiting this morning that they are going to keep her overnight tonight as well, as they are not happy with her oxygen levels.  Not sure what today will bring besides another trip to the hospital.

After catching up on the forum I found out that the winter challenge closes on April 15.  With life getting in the way of modeling, I'm not going to make the deadline.  I think the buildings will be complete, but the details won't get done.  I'll keep working on it and post to the thread till it's done.  If I don't do that, it will become another shelf orphan and I already have too many of those.

Have a great day everyone.

Ron best wishes to your wife. Two hospital stays ago Dad's O2 levels were so low he had to come home with home O2. What a major PITA that was.

I forgot to mention this morning that today is the US Navy Submarine Force 126th birthday.

Rick, ouch on the sore legs.  That's surprising given how much you hike.  St George is a cool place.
...
Mike, I hiked a lot in the 70s, 80s and 90s but never a day as challenging as Rick's.  Fifteen miles is a long day on easy ground. Add climbing out of the Canyon in the afternoon heat and the Bright Angel Trail left my 2nd wife saying "NOPE". We did hike a lot, including a Presidential Travers in NH's White Mountains, but never that distance or elevation gain again.

Ron, I hope things improve for your wife.

Good afternoon, all. The NH seacoast is sunny & 60F. The morning winds blew themselves out, it's nice out.  Did a lot of bookkeeping, a couple of meeting minutes this afternoon or evening.

Morning Gents,

The morning beverages are all set. Breakfast is cheesy scrambled eggs, home fries, crispy bacon and/or pan sausages.

What's on your plate today.

It's a sunny 31 with a high of 59. Our Daughter came for dinner yesterday and says she's feeling better but she's still quite pale. A longtime friend came with her so it was a good time. Did damage a little bench time in the am and more today.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. It sounds like you had a good time last night.

Started out the day with a walk at 60F and getting to 83F later. Later in the week possibly 90's. Yesterday I finished the walkways and roofs. After that I sprayed corrugated roofing with the base coat of Red Oxide.

Today after chores I hope to finish coloring the corrugated roofing and possibly mounting it on the shed.

This week will be very busy for me. Dad has 5 medical appointments, a blood draw, a haircut, a trip to the grocery store, a trip to the post office and a senior trip. All of these require a chauffer. Next week has two medical appointments along with other chauffering duties.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

42 in Marble Canyon, AZ, sunny, windy and 63 later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Glad your daughter is feeling better and you enjoyed the visit.

Curt, that does sound like a very busy week.

James, the hardest hike I've done so far was in New Hampshire.

Ron, glad the surgery was a success and I hope your wife is able to come home soon.

Jerry, looking at your temps, beach time is quickly approaching.

Karl, if you meant Dehaze, I use that on just about every picture.

Mike, hope the tax return favored you and not the other way around.

ACLTom, I'm sure you had a nice day with Pam and you'll get your modeling mojo back soon.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later and yesterday was that day.
Not long after starting my drive the TPMS flashed on that my passenger side rear tire was losing air.
Pulled over and sure enough a piece of metal was in the tire.
Closest place to get the tire fixed/changed was 15 miles away.
Fortunately I have an onboard air compressor and had to add air a few times to make it the shop.
Of course GPS took to the wrong place and where I needed to be was 3 miles away.
Filled up with air again but the metal piece popped out and the tire went completely flat.
I was less than 2 miles from the shop and called them.
Went straight to voice mail.
Left a message but never got a return call.
Next closest place was 26 miles away.
They agreed to come out and help.
They got the job done quickly and I asked how much?
I was expecting a big number but was pleasantly surprised when he said $75.
I gave him $100 and said his help was worth every penny.
Why didn't I change the tire.
I have after market tires and the tire wrench that came with the van is the wrong size.
Also the bottle jack that comes with the van doesn't work very well.
I'll have to look into fixing both those problems.

I'll make it to St. George, UT today.
It's a little more than 2 hours away.
Costco, Walmart, laundry and the gym are in the plans.

More from the Grand Canyon.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry. Glad you had a good time with family and friends.

Curt, you definitely have a busy week scheduled. Drive carefully in your chauffeuring duties. And, happy birthday to you under water guys.

Ron, hope your wife will be released today.

Pam and I had a great time yesterday. We had lunch at Roadhouse and we both were exhausted when we got home.

For me today is edge and cut the grass. After that I'll get back to modeling.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning crew,

Larry, thank you for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Wishing your daughter a full recovery soon.

Taxi Curt, hope you make some me time.  Congrats on finding bench time.

Ron, get well wishes for your wife.

James, I agree, 15 miles is a long distance in any book.

Jerry, hope you made it to the bench.

Karl, get well wishes to your SIL's father.  Congrats on the grand babe visit.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 56°F, headed to 86°F. No plans today.  I finished taxes yesterday and am happy to report I can still afford beans.  I may go upstairs and paint people today.  Not sure my eyes are up to it, but I thought I would try.

Have fun,
mike

Rick, it's been maybe 20 years since I changed a tire.  I reset that timer Thursday.  It's our second flat tire in 6 weeks, wife destroyed a tire and ended up being towed to the tire store (fortunately just 3 miles up the road) because there's some sort of funky lug nut lock that the AAA driver couldn't move.  For me, it was kinda comical watching me trying to figure out where the jack is, how to get it out, which way to turn things to raise the jack, how to lower the tire from underneath the truck, etc, etc, etc.  Fortunately, my tire just had a screw in it, that they were able to remove and plug.

Sunny here, but cooler than yesterday.  Scotch Club was dedicated to Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte  and Octomore (same distillery, different styles.)

8) Sun and already close to 50o no plans yet.

The Doll and Vannah had a nice time yesterday.  I managed to go fetch an Rx and do some bench work and scenic stuff on the layout.

No plans yet for today, NASCAR is at Bristol this weekend, I believe, I've been there 4-5 times back in the day.  Beautiful area.

Bench and layout beckoning as well.  ::)

Rick, DEHAZE is de right term.  Nope, just looked it's HAZE Removal Tool in my version (2021) of PS Elements usually my first stop in the process.

Ron, hopefully they let your wife head home soon.  I had to spend a night when I had my gall bladder out, one of the first, cuz your old, things in my life.  ::)

The last flat I had, the lug nuts had swollen, decorative Chrome outer had reacted with the steel nut.  Was a challenge for theAAA folks but they got it done.  Swollen nuts is a common problem with shiny wheels due to dissimilar metal issues, replacements are a pita.  When my son worked at a dealership they always put a locking nut on fancy wheels and he'd pocket the removed ones and sell them to his service customers at a discount if they came in needing them

Yeah, these seem to be dealer after-market profit items, and reselling replacements strikes me as a typical car dealer trick.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Glad to hear the daughter is feeling better.

Curt you sure have a week full of running around God Bless you!!

Rick nice picture.
Sorry about the flat tire.  You should look into AAA.
I wouldn't want to change a tire on that van.

Tom don't over do the outside work.

Mike it will be a good test for the eyes.

Nice selection Dave.

Karl have fun at the bench.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/51.  Later on 54.
Tomorrow we will start climbing in temp to reach mid 80's by Wednesday.
Your right Rick it's almost beach time.
Today I should be able to get an hour or two at the bench.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Dealer prices are outrageous. That's why he kept some "just between us" in his desk.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

55 in St. George, UT, cloudy and 67 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Pork roll, egg and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast.

Jerry, skipping spring and straight to summer?

Karl, does Elements have Clarity and Texture adjustments?
I use those on every picture too.

Dave, which scotch did you like the best?

Mike, did the little people get any paint?

ACLTom, any action in the shed yesterday?

How's the rest of the crew?

Made it to Utah.
Lost an hour of time in the process.
Only got half the things done that I wanted to do.
I'll get to those today.
But first I have a 9:15 appointment at Discount Tire to get my tire fixed or repaired.

On last Monday's hike in the GC, I saw the mules moving out and heading down into the canyon.
