Rick, I have a friend in Idaho Springs, a bit north of where you are.  We drove there once from flying into Jackson Hole, as I recall that's a great drive.

It's kinda chilly, damp and rainy here today.  Scotch Club will probably be moved to another neighbor's back porch.  Yesterday I did a little work on the pigpen (the model pigpen, not the pigpen that is my train room!)  Wife should be able to eat some real food today, but still a low fiber diet (which is a change in direction from our usual approach...)  I'm still researching what's on that diet and what to make for dinner.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Nice shot of the Portneuf River, looks refreshing and cool.

There is a road race in the neighborhood. Roads have been blocked off for the past two hours. Will be open again at 9AM. Chic-fil-A is sponsoring the run as there are hundreds runners dressed as cows. What a sight!

I'm meeting the Judge for lunch today and I'll get an update on his rehab. progress.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

31o at first glance this morning.

8) But it IS SUNNY!

jbvb

Good morning, all. Though I did see sun for a few minutes earlier, the NH seacoast expects 50-ish, overcast and rain off & on all day. I've already updated my Eastern Route Operations thread.

Pretty river, Rick. I enjoy visiting the West, but generally it's too barren for me to want to live there. I've set foot in Idaho, but only by walking the platform in Sandpoint while my Amtrak train was serviced (the same holds for Montana and North Dakota).  Best wishes for your wife, Dave, have fun with the Judge, Tom, enjoy the sun, Karl.

Good morning,

Rick, thank you for the coffee and breakfast.  Safe travels.

Dave, good luck with your chef research.

Tom, please give our regards to the Judge.

Karl, congrats on the sunny weather.

James, I'll check out your Eastern Route thread.

How is the rest of the crew?

The rain stopped a few minutes ago with a high forecast of 69°F.  Nothing special on the agenda, but working on the boxcar.

Have fun,
mike

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for breakfast and coffee.
That is a great picture.

Morning Dave.  Glad the wife is feeling better.

Tom say hi to the JUdge for us.

Karl!  Brrrrrrr!

James I'll check out your update in a minute.

Mike I'll be looking for your update.

Weather in South Jersey is cloudy/57.  Later P. sunny 63.
Where the hell is Spring???
My first wall is corrected now and sturdy and I'm working on the second wall hopefully some progress pictures next week.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Afternoon,

Rick I'll take a coffee; a little too late for breakfast. Nice photo, I hope the water isn't as cold as it looks. Safe travels to WY.

Dave hope you have fun with Miss Piggy; your train room can't look that bad. Nice to hear your wife is doing better and it will probably take some time getting used to a new diet.

Tom seeing a bunch of "cows" running down the road must have been quite the sight. Question how come the runners were dressed as chickens? Enjoy lunch and hope the Judge is doing well.

Karl keep warm.

James sounds like your weather is on par with NY.

Mike have fun working on the boxcar.

Jerry hope the second wall goes well with the fix. Looking forward to your update.

It's a partly cloudy 44 with a high of 48. The new computer table is finished and went together pretty well considering all the pieces parts. The only problem was 2 holes were missing for the brace in the back. 2 drill bits and a screwdriver later and the new holes were created; even has a power strip on the back of the top to charge phones. Tomorrow morning I'll tear the old desk apart and install the new one. Contractor is busy putting in the new garage door but he had to raise the header up 5 inches to accommodate the new door; old houses can be a pain. Probably no bench time today.

Have an enjoyable rest of your day. Be well.

Morning all,

Dang, it is 61 here this morning which is very cool for Fl. this time of year.

Breakfast this morning is a choice of Cheesy Scrambled Eggs or Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Of course you can have both if you so desire. And, I have fresh fruit for those cutting back. Drinks on the end.

My lunch with the judge was fun and of course we did our share of BSing. I noticed he is walking much better so rehab is working. He still has a way to go but I was happy to see his progress. He said to tell everyone hello.

The run yesterday was sponsored by a local dairy. T.G. Dairy and not Chic-Fil-A as I was told. Makes more sense for all the two legged cows in the run.

I need to balance the two check books and then I'll get back to my build.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

39 in Jackson, WY, sun and clouds later with a high of 63.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Omelette station is set up for breakfast.

Larry, good news on the computer table and garage door.

Jerry, 63 sounds like a good spring day to me.

Mike, the boxcar is looking good.

James, one of the things I like about the west is the wide open spaces and the mountain scapes.

Karl, hope you have another sunny day.

ACLTom, hope The Judge is doing much better.

Dave, while driving in this area there are some amazing views.

How's everyone else?

Other than driving more than I like yesterday, not much happened here.
A short and easy hike this morning.
There are many other hikes I'd rather do, but they are all still covered in s#$@.
After the hike I'll continue heading east a little.

This is a view while hiking the Frary Peak Trail in Utah.
That's the Great Salt Lake in the background.

Have a great day everyone.

8) Sun to start the day, and slightly warmer.  40s and 50s today.  We won't get to that "COOL" 60s Tom mentioned maybe tomorrow before the next chill.

I should mow, but can't dress warm enough.  ::)

Make haste slowly, is today's motto.

Geek Squad visits this afternoon.

Good morning,

Tom, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  I'll have both. Good luck with the checkbooks.

Rick, safe travels heading east.  I'm sure the sneaux will melt soon.

Karl, it seems unseasonably cold up there. I'd procrastinate with the mowing.

Larry, good luck with the desk demo and garage door install.

Jerry, congrats on the wall completion.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright and cold morning at 44°F.  Brrr.  The boxcar construction is proceeding well.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast tom and the second breakfast Rick.

Tom, glad to gear that the Judge is doing better ind is out and about.

Rick, enjoy your hike this morning and safe travels east.

Karl, the mowing can wait, grass doesn't grow fast in the cold.

Mike, glad the boxcar construction is going well.

Current temperature is 7c (44f) and the sun is shining bright.  Should start to get warmer weather starting tomorrow.  Had a great day yesterday running trains and talking with people, there was a great turnout.  Not sure what today will bring but I should make it to the bench.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all. The NH seacoast is overcast with occasional peeps at the sun. It's about 50F.  We're going to the real Clam Box in Ipswich for lunch, then probably more layout time afternoon and evening. In between, emails and bill paying.

Nice picture to start the day.

Karl sorry you can't get out of that cold spell.

Mike looking forward to the next update.

Ron glad the show turned so good.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/58.  Might make 60 later.
