Seems that we can divide modelers into the minority who have tackled a belt-drive machine shop and the sane side of the hobby.  As a now card-carrying member of the insane side, I appreciate all the more the amount of research that goes into understanding machining and making models of very complex systems (or more accurately, system-of-systems, when you add the belts and the machinery to drive the lineshafts.)
