Actually, drinking alcohol dilates your blood vessels, which can make you colder.  But yeah, it'll feel good going down...

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for coffee and breakfast. Good luck with the build.  Wow, who knew about belly rubs?  I guess I was thinking of dogs.  Nice photos, too.

Ron, good luck with the lawn mowing.  Have fun at the NMRA meeting.

Rick, thanks!  That is a great-looking trail. I hope there are many good parks in town.

Philip, what's new on your bench?

Dave, 42, as in the Answer?  ;)

Larry, good luck with your daughter's car search.

TomO, yikes, pulling up such nicely spiked rail.

Jerry, the weather sounds perfect for a picnic.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a sunny morning warming to 84°F. We had a district lodge meeting this morning, then I went to Lowe's for odds and ends, including adhesive for foam and camo paint for upcoming tree builds. I washed the car and took clothing to the laundry. At 1 pm, I'll pick up Asian food.  I hope to start applying staves to the tank this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Good afternoon (barely, at least in Eastern Time)!

Curt, is your multi-level junction photo somewhere in Lehigh Gorge?

Rick, eating eggs is a bad habit that develops most often when chickens don't have access to proper nourishment. Sometimes the flock actually disciplines them (often fatally), most chicken owners stew them when caught.

TomO, playing subject to biased referees as often as you've reported sounds a little like abuse to me. I'd have changed sports, or switched to something much less competitive. My stepson dropped HS track & field because the culture was too much running is life.

Layout time after lunch...

Bright sun with a cold stiff wind right off the lake. Chilled quick when out.

My photo is too big to post

Went to the pseudo star wars movie last night. The popcorn was good.  :-\

Good morning everyone.

63 right now.
Already had a thunderstorm come through this morning.
Cloudy with a high of 78 and a chance of rain most of the day.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Omelette station is set up for breakfast today.

Karl, I've seen that movie get not so great reviews.

James, thanks for the chicken info and hope you made good progress on the layout.

Mike, yes, there are many parks here.

Jerry, how was the picnic?

TomO, hope your grandson is OK and that ref should be banned from doing any more games.

Larry, did your daughter get the SUV?

Dave, did the rain stop in time for scotch club?

Philip, time does fly unless you're waiting for an upcoming event to happen.

How's everyone else.

Didn't do much yesterday.
Went to the farmers market and got a dozen eggs.
Ended up at the park and did a couple short walks with Star.
If there's no rain this morning I'll do a longer walk.

Been going back and going through older pictures and working on ones I never processed.
This is one from 2024 at the Outer Banks and the Bodie Lighthouse.

Have a great day everyone.

Forgot to mention, I just saw a video where Dave at Thunder Mesa Trains announced he's going to be releasing O scale kits.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Hope you get a long hike in.

I was supposed to do a walk this morning but I slept horribly. The neuropathy in my left foot was really bad last night. I see a nap coming soon in my future.

Yesterday I finished the diorama except for building an AC Bulldog truck. I opened the box yesterday and printed off the instructions, mainly to read about painting. I was going to start on it today, but that probably won't happen.

Tomorrow Dad has a medical appointment then the weekly errands. Tuesday he has a senior trip.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Seems my Daughter is in the "day late, dollar short" scenario. One SUV she really liked was sold just a few hours before she arrived at the dealership. Meeting up with her in Syracuse Monday @ 5:30 to look at another SUV; if it drives well I think she'll probably purchase it before her current SUV goes to pot. Have a safe hike.

Curt sorry to hear about the bad night's sleep and a nap sounds like just the ticket.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a sunny 51 with a high of 71. Been quite busy between my stuff and my Daughter's so today is going to be a rest day; at least that's the plan. Later bench time will ensue working on a few more details for the back of the Mercantile. Grilling dinner tonight with hot dogs, green & yellow squash, and sweet corn; should be tasty.

Have a safe and enjoyable day!!! Be Well. Has anyone seen where May went?

Travel day. Sun and chilly here in the North. Will be warm-hot back home.

The rain ended about 2:00 yesterday, and by 5:00 the sun was out and it was a really pleasant night for Scotch Club.  It was a pot-luck event, we did a bottle kill or two. There were both sherry and peat offerings.  Cool enough for a big fire, one neighbor does wood floors so he always has a scrap box full of oak pieces to burn.

And yesterday, the recycling guys took away that soaked pile of cardboard I set out.  I feel bad, they were working weekends after Monday's holiday, and I gave them extra work.  But that stuff is gone, a part of the basement is substantially cleaned up.  I have some stuff for a dump run, and some stuff for a thrift store.

Eyedrops continue, late this week I start the eyedrop routine for the other eye.  Even after doing maybe 200 eyedrops, I still hate doing them.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, always enjoy lighthouse pictures.  Interesting fact (or not) while I was working in Florida, i learned that all lighthouses in the state was painted a different colour so that sailors knew where they were during daylight hours.

Curt, have fun with the AC Bulldog truck, I'm assuming that it is one of Brett's 3D printed kits.

Larry, rest day sounds good, have fun at the bench.

Karl, safe travels.

Dave, glad the scotch club happened yesterday.

Jim, Philip, have a great day.

Current weather is 17c (63f) and sunny.  Was a busy day yesterday but I did get everything done.  I did make it to the bench last night where I did final programming tweaks on the DEE-EX system (I now works great), worked on some connector making connector tracks for the On30 group modules and wired up a couple of planetary stepper motors that are now ready for testing.  All in all a productive evening.  Another busy day today as I have to work for a few hours  >:( , walk Gracie and do a grocery run.  This evening I plan to work on the layout, I need to run wire feeds for the west end staging yard.

Have a great day everyone.
