Good Morning,
Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Looks like the moose is keeping both eyes on you. I've seen moose out in Wyoming when I was a kid and they are huge compared to deer. Glad you were able to get the credit and usually they hope no one notices those little extras. Nope no SW yet.

Curt hope you get feeling better soon.

Mike stay cool.

Tom glad the head is feeling better and hopefully Monday it'll feel even better. I had to chuckle when you said you had a "cheap facelift"; I've seen celebs that must have had the same thing done.

Philip tell your tree guy wait until the heat breaks; that's nothing to mess with.

What's your plans.

It's 79 with a high of 98 and a "feel like" 108....Yikes. Going to try and stay inside as much as possible but I do have to go to Wegmans for an Rx for Ellie early afternoon; glad the car has A/C. Our central air has been getting quite a workout between yesterday and today; tomorrow the excessive heat is supposed to break. My SW order is finally out for delivery so sometime today I'll have it.

Have a great day!! Be well, heal up, stay cool & hydrated, and be safe.

Thanks for the coffee Rick! What gets me about banks are the price of blank checks and the number of checks included. Stingy now.

Curt, get well soon!

Great your doing better Tom!

The tree guy started at 7am and has 1 to go. The mulberry is dead and then clean up. Cooler today but it's coming.
An easier day and grateful for him.

Larry I'm making the dormers a tiny bit larger as suggested. Thanks.

Maybe some play time later. The grass is tall again! Suppose to be cooling Friday.

Morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick.
Nice picture glad you weren't up to close to the big fella!!
Banks there amazing aren't they.

Mike have fun wash the cars.

Tom glad your feeling better.

Larry it was nice of the PO to finally figure out where you lived.

Philip have fun mowing the grass.

Weather in South Jersey is HOT/87.  Feels like 99. And were heading to a nice sunny 101.
I did manage an hour on the shingles last night but it sure i warm in my room.
Hopefully another hour tonight.
One of the grandkids is here for a few days.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Philip no problem and hopefully give you a nice balance of dormers to roof area.

Jerry keep cool; do you at least have a fan in your room? Sounds like you're almost as warm as we are. Someone decided my package should take the scenic route here; no wonder they're not making any money.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Cool Moose photo. I hear they are unpredictable and can be mean.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. It means a lot to me.

Started out the day at the VA vampire. at least that's done for my PCP. Although I'm not entirely back to normal, I'm definitely on the road to it and can function. This morning some one is coming by to pickup 2 kits and this afternoon I'm driving grandson to a job interview.

Tom I'm glad you're healing but sorry for the pain in the...head.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good news from Tom and Curt today!

I'm hopefully done with the DirecTV frustration, at least for a while.  I ran a test yesterday to check continuity on the coax from the wall down to the splitter in the basement.  That works OK.  I need an adapter to check the cable from the wall to the TV, that's coming today.  That same adapter will allow me to connect the satellite feed directly to the cable that leads to the TV.  But no matter what, I'm expecting DirecTV to charge me if they have to replace the line from the dish to the splitter, and that won't be easy.  To add insult to injury, the channel selection on the AppleTV app does not match what we get from the satellite, and of course the channels Wife watches are not included on the app.

So anyway, back to the basement...

Hazy bright  8)  out on the deck, temp mid 70s humidity in 90s. Thank goodness for breeze. Came N to cool off but it's been plenty warm for up here.

We drove over to Escanaba yesterday with 30 minute traffic stopped both directions for blacktop work.

Curt an Tom, glad to hear of improvements

Rick, hike safe.

Headed to town in a bit. Sitting in the breeze until then.

Be well all,  ;D

Good morning from Pasadena. 61f degrees now 80 later this afternoon. At home in Verona, Wi the WeatherChannel app is showing 74 now 90 later with the heat index over 100.

Yesterday in San Marino we visited the Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens. Let me say thanks to Dave Deemery for giving us some helpful tips and suggestions that we really had to visit here. We were last in Pasadena visiting my sister in September when Dave here mentioned to go, we wanted to then and again when we were here in December but weather and timing for both visits didn't allow for it.

We are most interested in the Botanical Gardens and OMG what a spectacular display. We walked through a portion of the Art Gallery but it was relatively brief at almost an hour. My favorites are Roses and we have visited many across the country and we linger in them. It alone was worth the visit. It does seem as we are aging our capacity for hilly walking is getting tougher. Still Terry had over 17,000 steps and me just over 15,000 steps though we were together 98% of the time just on the Huntington grounds!!!  Before we left we did become members as we now plan to keep returning and they gave us credit against the membership the ticket fees we paid yesterday. There is so much to see and it's so well done. The 2 major Art galleries alone will be well worth the yearly fees but it's massive! We are looking forward to it but next up will be the Japanese Gardens, maybe Saturday. We were worn out by time we got to the sign telling us the way to the Japanese Gardens but it was down hill to the valley floor then what looked like an equally high climb. Too much for yesterday. So much more we visited yesterday that I have not mentioned...

We did start the morning yesterday driving Route 66 the 21 miles from our hotel to the Santa Monica pier. It was interesting but at 10am was packed! We can say we have now traveled both the beginning and end of Route 66. I have traveled all of the Old Route possible in Illinois , Missouri, Kansas (all 13 miles there!) plus portions in Texas and now California. That's enough

Today is a day to sort of relax. I had 21000+ steps yesterday and Terry of 25000. We need it at 73 for me and 74 for her!

We will though visit the USC Asia Pacific Museum this afternoon after it opens between 11am and 4pm. It's 3/4 mile from my sister's condo so a nice walk over to it and back.  Dinner tonight I am looking forward to enjoying. Called 45 Bistro it's where the niece had her wedding rehearsal dinner in 5/25. The reception food was oh so good. I made the reservations around Easter as it can be a tough place to get in.

It's 8am here and breakfast will be across the street at a coffee shop bakery called Oh la La and the niece raved about it during dinner last night. Told her we have eaten there and it's ordinary + but we do revisit each visit. Told her not every eatery in Pasadena or San Marino where she lives is world class and she seemed offended. My filter is becoming much thinner as I age. If I don't like it I'll let you know and why

Enjoy your day

Good morning everyone,

Little late checking in today as I slept in, something I don't normally do, I'm a morning person.

Current temperature is 30c (86f) and cloudy for now but more thunder showers this afternoon.  The thunder showers yesterday (from 3 to 9pm) put a big damper on the celebrations here.  I did get to the bench and finished decaling the boxcars.  Now I need to add the trucks and couplers, finish a couple of details and the project will be complete.  I'll post an update later today.

Have a great day everyone.

Dang, Rest assured Rick, I'm not losing weight. How bout ya Curt?

A parasite nobody wants. Gross!
I'm happy to report the tree's are gone and no injuries. The only loss was sweat!

Update.  No joy with DirecTV app.  Whenever I try to play anything, I get their 'blue screen of nothingness.'  Guess I'll have to call them tomorrow.

Good evening from the lower Merrimack Valley, all. I guess Dave got to spend today indoors; I hope Dan didn't get called out for O/T in Haverhill. An intense thunderstorm passed N of us in the wee hours, but we were just at the S end of the line squall. If Dave managed to sleep through it I'm impressed. A gust blew three plants over in our dining room. Soon after I was downstairs closing all the N and W windows. Then down again after it passed to re-open the windows.

This morning I got up and shut all the windows, The downstairs was still about 10F below outside in late afternoon.  Today's big project was watering the lead/acid battery component of my PV system.  96 caps and 13.5 gallons of distilled water later, it's good for another year.  A good thing, because when we got back from dinner we found no grid power on our side of town.  I hear many generators running, there's speculation the outage might last most of the night.  So I'll check email quickly before I shower.

Good Morning,

The morning beverages are all set to go. Breakfast is assorted bagels and toppings since it's going to HOT once again.

What's your plans?

It's a sunny 86 with a high of 93 and we're still under an extreme heat warning. Passing T'storms later then tomorrow the heat starts to break...thank God. A few errands to run and a couple of 1:1's to take care of. Not sure about any bench time today.

Have a great day!! Be well, keep cool & hydrated, and be well.

Good morning, Larry and later risers. About 80F in the lower Merrimack Valley, sun forecast all day with a high of 98F. I've started buttoning up the house, will finish after glancing at the Forum. First item on my agenda is cleaning out the new barn's aisle so my ex and I can get a manure spreader in.  Last is probably my daughter's pool party, not sure what lies in between.
