Great looking boat Curt.  A lot of work doing all those ribs.
Being under construction will add a good back story.

Here's a Diorama that the late Laurie Green did of a boat building yard, with a boat under construction.

Curt,

I agree with the others before me, you're doing a fine job of this diorama.
Makes me remember why I sold my kit years ago. It was because of putting together
that daunting ship under construction!

Howdy Curt, the boat is coming along nicely.  I bet those ribs and cross beams were a bit fiddly to assemble.  Great work.  Have fun, mike

Rick

Looks good Curt.
Interesting that you stained the wood instead of leaving it raw.

Afternoon All,

Thanks for following along and your kind words Larry, Rob, Rich, Mike, and Rick.

Larry I would never try it without directions. It was challenging enough with them and the precut pieces.

Rob beautiful diorama, thanks for sharing.

Rich thank you.

Mike it was very fiddly.

Rick the only reason I colored it was because the ribs are 3 part construction. The center is chipboard sandwiched by 2 brown wood veneers. I thought it would look funny having the ribs brown and everything else new wood.

Pennman

Curt,

Very nice work on the diorama all around, especially that ship under construction.
After buying the kit, my reason for selling it was that ship work, it looked
overwhelming to me. After a few years have now gone by, I wish I could begin this
again. Maybe I will after seeing your modeling. Thanks for sharing.

Curt, I'm surprised that Brett made the boat that way with the two different colored woods.

You are doing a sublime job on the boat building scene.
I think it looks fantastic.

Mark Dalrymple

A very interesting scene, Curt.

The boat under construction looks fantastic.

Cheers, Mark.

Really stunning Curt, and so realistic looking.
I've definitely got to do a boat under construction scene one of the days.  Vey inspiring.
