Morning all,

Hot and humid today with a high of 90.

I need to mow and pack as we're heading to Door County Wisconsin tomorrow for a few days. All three of my children and their families will be there. It will be a bit overwhelming.

No escape travel for me. But then the weather here this weekend has been perfect. The chance of showers for yesterday afternoon went elsewhere, and Scotch Club was well attended, with two members bringing visitors. One is a huge Portugal fan, so he kept on checking his phone during that game.

I'll hook the existing LED lights up to the power supply, although I might need an extension cord for the supply's AC feed.

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast is sunny and headed for the high 70s, but I'm short on sleep. First, the teenager didn't figure out he'd booked a flight a day earlier than his buddies till he arrived at the hotel in Geneva (about 0430 EDT). Then we went out early to watch my daughter ride her first dressage Grand Prix. She got a couple of movements in the wrong order, but got a chance to ride again at 1PM. Just as a B&M historian friend will start his walking tour of Amesbury MA railroad history.

Maybe if she rides on time and I come right home I can find them mid-tour.

Regardless, there are a bunch of other things needing my attention; the layout comes last.

Not much on the agenda today. The better half is making a lasagna for me as a belated Father's Day present. I'll be well fed today. Maybe some workbench time this afternoon.

I love my Lasagna frozen then thawed and reheated, or at least chilled over night and then reheated for lunch the next day. Rarely get it in any fashion, but sure sounded good!. Hot grilled garlic buttered and toasted half loaf of french bread a suitable side dish.

Well, darn, James. I would have been interested in that Amesbury tour... Geneva is a fun town to 'kill time', though, so I'm sure son will make good use of it.

Lasagna sounds good! I think I have some gluten free lasagna noodles somewhere, I should make that. I still remember a family friend's authentic Southern Italian lasagna with tiny veal meatballs as one of the layers.

I found out about it in a B&MRRHS email, but it was also on a couple of the B&M FB groups. But not the one for the Eastern Route, which is what the Amesbury Branch connected to. Next time I see something like that I'll forward to you.

Good Afternoon everyone. Spent yesterday mowing and replacing the panels on a garage door. The Masonite panels have started to warp from being exposed to moisture and I'm replacing them with some made from PVC. I could replace the door, but then I'd lose my Frugal Yankee card. Need to finish one more panel and get a pane of glass to finish door today so I can paint it this week.

Afternoon all...

just checking in upon arriving home from a weeklong family trip to Lake Lure, NC (outside Asheville)...happy to be back and it's time to get back to the trains.

Bob, those Viking cruises are the best...we're definitely (maybe) pondering another one in 2027.

We've still got September in Minnesota for the Narrow Gauge convention (yes I said "we"...that's a first...I'm NOT bringing her with me to the vendor room - my activities there will be hard to explain) and Italy and Malta in October, with probably a few short RV trips mixed in this year...my first year of retirement has been great for travel, but I hoped I'd have more clarity on my modeling direction...oh well, it's a hobby - no stress.

Hope all are well...I've been absent.

I DO need to make some room and I've got some amazing built-up craftsman structures I'd like to sell to a good home...I'm still pondering, but if anyone might be interested in helping me sell them online - I'd be a very grateful and generous business partner.
