Jerry, sorry you're having problems with new computer.
Get an Apple computer and enjoy trouble free computing.

Jerry, stopped working as in "won't power on"?  If so, suggest looking inside and jiggling wires.    Or stopped working as in "turns on, but then freezes".  That would be a software problem, I suspect.  Or "turns on, runs for a while, then shuts down."  One thing to try is open the computer and inspect the fan and see if there's dust, etc, on the motherboard. That would be an overheating problem.

Just some thoughts to try

Costs are subjective to each person. Thankfully we are in a position it won't hurt us but we will feel it!

If we have a tree hit a vehicle or god forbid one of the kids who play out there we'd never forgive ourselves. If I could see trees needing to be cut and Terry confirming it, those trees were bad.


The trees are on a 4-6 acre plot that separate us from the daughter and family's house and the county road. We are on the inside edge that opens up into former crop land of about 20 acres and then more woods.

So between the new driveway, the remodeling of the space we live in and now the trees I have been promised no more moves for us. Unless health dictates changes of course. The granddaughter or grandson can text if it's ok to come over and they can walk, scooter or bike on down. We are about 80' in elevation change per the compass feature on my IpadPro. We are closer than we wanted to be to the kids but we keep our space and will never just show up and we expect the same

Hard frost, dense fog and clear sky in Michigan this morning. MAYbe some of the allergy causing weed were knocked down. Would please the Doll and me both.   

My decal project went to hell in a hand basket yesterday  , old material I believe. The base decal material really went to crap. May work up a whole sheet of various decals and have my graphic guy, Higball or Hardbsll, , do a sheet.

OPS going well. 2 local/switch jobs under my belt.

64 now, cloudy most of the day and the forecast says no rain and possibly some sun late in the day.
But we all know how accurate the forecasts can be.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
How about a lazy Sunday morning continental breakfast consisting of varied bagels, muffins and danish.

Karl, glad you enjoyed ops and hope the next batch of decals is better.

TomO, I'm guessing you're happy about the decision to stay put.

Mike, will you be able to watch your team today?

Dave, Jerry bought a new computer so it wasn't dusty.
Being new I don't advise going into it to futz with the wiring.
Just buy an Apple.

Jerry, how bad is the storm?

Ron, I gave all my modeling stuff away, so I need to restock.
It will be a few weeks or months before any kit boxes are opened.

How's everyone else.

Hope no one has suffered any damage or problems due to the Nor'easter.

I was able to walk to the library and get a book.
Later in the day it even stopped raining long enough to go for a walk with Star.
Not supposed to rain today and if that's true I'll do some more inside the van.

This was the goat that was on the trail with us going up Mount Bierstadt.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I got photos of mountain goats in Alaska but your photo is much closer than I ever got.

Yesterday in the train room I glued the foam to the base then put 2 coats of WS paint on them. I'll look later to see if it needs another since the paint is thin.

Today after chores I need to take gs to Tractor Supply so he can buy a cheap fishing pole. Monday I need to take him to open a checking account now that he's getting paid.

Not much else going on this way.

Tom you should be about done with the treatments and I hope you're doing OK.

Curt hopefully you won't need a 2nd coat of paint on the foam. Sounds like someone's going "fitchen."

What's your plans?

It's a cloudy 55 with a high of 62 and they're calling for rain all day; looks like we might be getting brushed by the Nor'easter. Maybe some bench time today but other than that it'll definitely be a "lazy Sunday" here.

Rick, honestly if we had built a modest 2 bedroom place with a walk out basementbI'd have been happier but this is fine

The train show yesterday was a bust. What storage tanks were there must have been made with gold. The prices yesterday for Walther and Tichy tanks is make the 3d printing cost seem reasonable.

This Ai image shows the next scenic project on the UP Michigan based railroad after the trees are installed in October. It's a representation of Agate Falls in 18" wide x 72" long. This will be fun

Sun and fun day in MI, beautiful calm sun drenched fall weather. 

As stated, OPS went well.  When I got home I sat and watched my SPARTANS pretty much throw their season down the drain.  The EMS Cart driver got the most screen time of anyone.  There will be long lines at the Orthopedic Clinic.  #1-2-3-4 depth of running dudes went down hard.  CORNBUSTERS are not a team to be taken lightly.  How about Dr. Jeff's HAWKEYES popping the sobs in Blue M on a last second pass.  Payback celebrated throughout much of Michigan.

The Doll has some folks coming for some furniture she is selling on marketplace.  Nice to have the space IF it stays emptied, but... rare for that.

Terry, didn't realize that was a new computer.  Take it back and get a replacement.  

Rick, Mountain Goats are very photogenic, aren't they?  They're also good about holding a pose for you to get the photo.  

So far just some rain and breezes, nothing significant.  But main part of the storm is today and tomorrow.  It's moving slowly 'down east'.
