Nice note, Tom.   It has a locomotive on it, so definitely worth the price  ;D

Curt, good luck at the VA.

I had fasting blood test first thing, now I'm home and stuffing my face.  It's damp today, showers all day.

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfasts Larry and Rick.

I'm loving all the fall pictures, leaves are finally turning here.

Curt, hope the VA appointment goes well.

Tom, nice find.

Karl, congrats on the milestone the car is now officially broken in.

Current weather here is 7c (44f) and raining.  Had an interesting day on the layout yesterday, cleaned the track, ran a train threw some switches then Poof, a short. :o   Thankfully my layout is divided into 4 districts so I was able to narrow it down to the town of Mara.  I have a sneaky suspicion that the short is caused by the new switch I installed to the staging yard.  Will investigate tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Afternoon All,

Good morning everyone.

47 now, cloudy with a high of 59 later.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Thick sliced French toast for breakfast with fresh churned Wisconsin butter and real Michigan maple syrup.
Sides of bacon and/or sauce are out too.

Curt, hope the surgery goes well and you got a good nap.

Jerry, hope it's all good news from the ultrasound.

Ron, hope you find the short and it's an easy fix.

Dave, the meal after fasting is always good.

Karl, maybe a little news today?

ACLTom, congratulations on a good deal on an interesting bill.

Mike, enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.

TomO, sounds like a great time was had at the game.

How's everyone else?

Nothing interesting happened yesterday.
A quiet day probably again today.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick.

The sick call went very fast. I was back in a room within 5 minutes and done within 20 minutes! The clinic was empty! What took an hour was the pharmacy filling the 2 prescriptions. I should get a call from the surgery folks within a week (different facility).

After getting home I puttered around the house for a bit before taking a 3 hour nap and still had a decent night's sleep.

Today is floor day. Ugh. Afterwards I'll start on the next step working on the diorama base.

Tomorrow Dad has a senior trip somewhere.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds like Star's getting a little ancy being inside. Enjoy your quiet day.

Curt glad you were able to get a solid nap in. Hope the surgery goes well and have fun at the bench.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a cloudy 61 with a high of 70. Tomorrow the weather should be nice and the leaves are piling up in the yard so it'll be mulching time again. Have a Tech coming sometime between 8-12 for my yearly cleaning and tune up. Not sure about the bench though.

Yesterday they came and filled my fuel oil for the furnace. This past June I purchased my oil for the season & paid for it @ $4.17/gal. The price now is $6.19/gal; in the 45 years of living here I have NEVER seen the price that high needless to say I'm glad I bought my oil when it was $2 less per gallon. Hopefully by next June the current price will drop.

Have a great and safe day!! Be well and hope everyone's medical issues get resolved for the better.

Good morning,

Rick, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy your quiet day. Are you setting up an audiophile's dream?

Curt, good news at the doc's.  Good luck with the floors.

Larry, wow on the oil savings.  That is huge.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another hot one at 88F.  Lodge last night was terrific.  Sharon's still gone, so today is mine.

Have fun,
mike

It's still damp and foggy from last night's rain.  Temps are going up, should hit 70 today.  Cooler into the weekend.

Our eye doctor practice has lost several doctors apparently, including the OD wife and I would go for our annual checkups. The same practice handled my cataracts and her dry eye procedures, but those were two MDs.  I'm not sure if they'll continue to do routine eye exams.  I hate changing doctors...

Today, more work on the rock strata and on the resin car kit.

TomO/Tloc

Good morning. 56 now only 64 later but still will be 10 degrees warmer than the seasonal average.

Gotta call after I posted here to come up north and clean track for Thursday's out of town (Tulsa) visitors. I got the mainline cleaned from staging throat to throat. I did not clean the helix. Started cleaning diesel wheel sets and did a few and switched NCE plug in panels, dead. Then the radio signals were dead. I'm no help with layout wiring issues. The "sailor" inspired words though he calls them railroad inspired were flying the last hour.

On way home my 2 friends and chauffeur's called said they were coming up today to help. Terry has medical today and Friday so I cannot go. They will figure it out. Better it died Tuesday than 8am Thursday morning with 15 operators ready to go. NO, I didn't break anything...

Enjoy your day
TomO

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice picture.
There just starting to turn here.

Curt have fun doing those floors.

WOW Larry that is just crazy!!!

Mike enjoy the day!!

Dave changing Dr.'s is always a PITA!!

Morning TomO.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/75.  Later on 85.
Ultrasound was no change.  Hopefully it will be the same in 6 months from now.
Nothing to report from the bench again.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
