Morning all. The postal service has been busy the past couple days delivering model supplies as i get geared up to start making a serious effort into my building of models. I need  to visit the dentist this morning  and put a couple hours at the cemetery before I can start.😅 Sometimes using my phone to photograph models at George's can be a challenge..

Good afternoon.  Worked at the cemetery for a few hours this morning  and then came home and did the front half of my yard. George's open house was well attended but not to crowded. It was good to catch up with him seeing i haven't been there since January. I finished this up last week. I never see it modeled with the body up, so thats the way I built it.

Raymo, you didn't stay retired for long.  My brother went back to work part time after retiring as well.  He was bored at home (no hobbies) and also to get away from his goofy wife.

Ortho dude thinks it's more a degenerative issue with the knee vs a meniscus.  He wasn't too excited for an MRI, so we'll try taking oodles of ibuprofen for a week or so and see what happens. 

I did restart the kit and will do some more on that today.  A coupler issue on a set of paired F3 units will be looked into as well.

Jeff, a childhood friends family  has been in charge of maintenance of the cemetery for years, and they been asking me for help for the past 2. I'm able to work around my mother's care with no set hours and its only about a mile from the house. Good luck with your knee, another friend is dealing  with a similar  problem  since last week.

Good afternoon. Like Dave said, the northeast is covered in a haze from the Canadian fires. Sometimes it's a greyish orange, or like now a cream-colored sky. Went to my local hobby supply shop this morning and for the 3rd time they didn't have any of the Bob Smith C.A. that I use. Ended up ordering from an online store instead. Morning All. Been under the weather most of the week. Started last Sunday when it felt like the symptoms of Sepsis again. Went to the ER on Monday and left with a prescription to treat an UTI. Saw my primary care Dr. on Friday and she thinks I might have a kidney stone even though I don't feel it. Was able to finally cut most of yard yesterday after 2 weeks because it was starting to look like a meadow. Taking it easy today, might work on my fishing boat later. DR

Morning all. Brought my mother home from rehab (again) yesterday, so the day was spent getting her situated.  Spent about an hour looking at a resin lobster boat kit to see what I need for plastic strip for the hull details this morning. I still need to measure the garage door window and see if I have enough paint to paint it.

James, the break is on the old Paperboard property.  It's on the RS of the lower photo. You can also see the old rightaway near the houseboat and the brushline heading to the left. Where the 2 lengths of the temporary main are laid out is on a spur ROW that went around to the riverside of the plant.

Good morning all. Well we have big problems here in the northeast corner of Massachusetts.  Friday night during a heavy rain ,a 48" forced sewer main broke  between a pumping station and the wastewater treatment facility. 8 to 10 million gallons of sewage a day have been  leaking into the Merrimack  and has closed the beaches for swimming at the coast out of safety. Luckily the city had a contractor working in the city that was able to come in and start working on a by pass main. Not the best situation on the 4th of July. Good morning everyone.  Days activities will be taking my mother to a Doctor's appointment. It's in the middle of the day so it will ruin any chance of trying to plan anything else. Worst part is it's near Boston, traffic is going to be fun. Enjoy your day..

Good Afternoon everyone. Spent yesterday mowing and replacing the panels on a garage door. The Masonite panels have started to warp from being exposed to moisture and I'm replacing them with some made from PVC. I could replace the door, but then I'd lose my Frugal Yankee card. Need to finish one more panel and get a pane of glass to finish door today so I can paint it this week.
