Good afternoon all.  I've done a walk and had an echocardiogram.  The doctor is checking to see if my new heart valve is working OK.

I wasn't happy with the painting I was doing on a styrene brick building.  I had tried to paint the bricks with acrylic craft paint and it didn't look good.  Last night I took a small sponge soaked with alcohol to it and was surprised how easy it was to remove the paint.  Let's hope the next try is better.

Good afternoon.  Nice chilly weather scene, Jeff.  We have several club members that model the N&W, so I've seen old 611 running on the layout many times.

We're in the mid 70's so I did an enjoyable walk before lunch.  I'm not sure what's next.

Good morning, Karl, Dave and crew.  Have fun at the ops session, Karl

We're in the upper 70's, so a walk is scheduled.  I'm running to the club later this afternoon.

Happy Anniversary, Tom and Karl.

I think our rain has stopped and we're inching into the 70's.  I'm going for a walk soon then back to the computer for some trip planning.

Good morning.  Another wet day in the 60's, but better weather is on its way.

I'm going out for a late lunch with my grandson.  He goes to work early in the morning, so he's off early.

Good morning.  It's a wet windy day in this corner of Virginia.  I have a lot of trip itinerary work to do.  We're going to be using a Eurail pass.  Sometime today we're getting flu shots.  Maybe I'll get some bench time in later.

Three years! It sounds like you're having fun, Rick.  Any end plans?

I've visited the layout three times while back in Pittsburgh visiting family, all during their Christmas open house.  It's a fantastic layout and worth a trip to Pittsburgh just to see the layout.

Good afternoon.  It's a beautiful day in Tidewater Virginia.  Our son, wife and dog from northern Virginia are here for the weekend.  My son is attending a high school reunion.

We did a three mile walk this morning, the longest since my heart valve replacement and I'm doing good.

I tried to paint a brick wall yesterday and it didn't go well.  It's been a couple years   since I painted one and I've lost the touch.  I need to practice before I strip the paint off the walls and I start again.

Happy Monday.  It's in the 70's and we just finished a walk.  Great weather here!

I'm using Plastruct styrene brick sheets for a building and ambient light can be seen through the walls.  It's assembled and this morning I painted the interior with black paint.  It works!

Good morning.  We had a nice temperature drop, we're in the 60's and with it came some rain.

I'm spending some time at the workbench before I do a beer run.  I may stop at the local hobby shop and pick up some styrene while I'm out.

Good morning, Karl and crew. I had routine blood drawn this morning and then a walk.  After some chores I have styrene brick walls to glue together.

Karl, that's quite a gap in the rails.  During WWII the Army ran some tests on how to blow up track and found it wasn't easy to derail a train.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agznZBiK_Bs

Good morning.  I just finished a walk.  We're going to be in the 70's today, enjoying it.

I have some styrene work to do.  It's tedious, but I'm making progress.  I'm cutting brick sheets along the brick lines to fit windows properly.

Good afternoon.  I started my Labor Day celebrations with a walk, a trip to the club and then some chores.  I think I'll finish up with some bench time cutting sryrene.
