Wow! I'm impressed, very nice build indeed.
And, without instructions, my kind of builder.
Although I don't have this kit, it could be a
great contender for a scratchbuild!  ;D
of course if anyone wants to wait ten years for the results...  ???

Kit Building / Re: SW Blue Sky Company Warehouse

Curt,

Your build is looking good. That front wall is nice with the added knots and coloring.
I saw a note by Brett that mentioned the decals in older kits like Blue Sky and the Backwoods Work Train
are so old that they shouldn't be used. I received a tip from modeler Carl Alessi on the old Railroad Line Forms,
that he said to buy some lettering decals from I think Woodland Scenics. I think the one's I purchased were Roman ones.
I will have to look for my packet.

Tom,

Your threads leave nothing out. With all of the excellent pictures explaining each step as you go forward,
it's like a college course in model construction. And not to forget I am impressed with your skills.
The tower is looking great and a nice addition to an already nice siding on your layout. It fits in
perfectly in that location. Paint and roofing coloring blend in well with the other structures.

Hey ... Jerry.. do you remember me??.. It's like I just awoke from a long winters' nap!
Your thread is the first one I read from start to finish, I had to come on board for some well-needed inspiration.
And what a joy it is to see your fabulous framing work again! There' not one piece of fuzzy wood sticking out, nor
one framing stud or fire break out of sync with the rest. And the coloring is spot on!
Are the kits going to be in HO and O scale??  ;) Can't wait to get one...

Larry, Wow! I've been awall again! Posting now for maybe an hour trying to play catch-up
with all of the great modeling going on. Your build is looking good. I'll be back to pay
closer attention to this, it's really late now.

Ron,

Sorry, I've been absent. Everything looks really good.
Nice color on boards, and that's really busy work putting them all on.
Nice work.

Kit Building / Re: Junction Farm (BESTTrains kits)

Dave,

I was unaware that this kit had a cast hydrocal foundation. It looks like a really nice kit and
your method of handling each segment looks great to me. It will be nice to see this in it final
location.

Mike,

I am definitely late to the party, and no doubt this will be another
showstopper build as well. I grew up in rural farm country and grainery
buildings were abundant. Maybe you could have some 3D printed rats for
the bottom of a silo.  ;)

Yeah, the secret with that Tamiya putty is to scrape it before it turns hard.
If not, then you gotta get the jackhammer!  ;D  It's good stuff though.
I think I'll check back for more tips on coloring the brickwork, that's one
of my downfalls and you seem to have a good handle on it. Thanks

Curt, my good man, and great builder, especially of SW kits.
Glad to see you rolling out the red carpet for this one! Of all
of the Sierra West kits, this is my favorite design that Brett did.
I will be watching as you proceed. Good luck and turn this into
something special.

Ron,

I'll surely have one too!
Make mine a Eagle Rare neat!! I can use something strong about now.
I've been in a personal battle the last two weeks. Not a health battle,
an Estate settlement. It's taken a toll on my mind. Best way to avoid it
is not to die.  ;D

Wow! Mike, right up my alley, I love stonework, especially the colors
you chose. This is really nice. Dang! Nice!

I'm glad to see you back at this again, Jerry.
Your framing is always the best and superb!
Looking forward to more.
