Good Morning All,

Today's breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, muffins, OJ and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 70F and low humidity. Yesterday the sun wasn't out much so it kept the humidity down.

Yesterday I finished the hoist house roof. It looks like all that's left to do per instructions are to attach the cable between the h.h. and headframe and build the side roof. I have a couple of other things I plan on doing.

After chores I'll continue on the kit unless SIL comes out to work on the pool pump. The new impeller came in yesterday.

Rick that looks like a very steep climb. I wouldn't do it without handrails.

TomO you're a good man for taking care of your brother.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you Jerry, Larry, Tom, Mike, and Rick for following along and your kind words.

Since the last update I've done some more detail work but mainly worked on the hoist house roof.

After staining the roof trusses I removed them from the carrier sheet only damaging one rafter tail (very delicate). I was very happy to realize Brett had already attached the double sided tape on sub roof and cut the protective paper so each shingle row would line up. :o  ;D

I added additional interior bracing to the trusses for rigidity.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Tom. Pretty roses. Enjoy your day with Pam.

As Tom mentioned severe thunderstorms came through about 0515 at my house. The rain was almost heavy enough to be tropical. Speaking of, Hurricane season starts tomorrow and runs thru 30 November. :'(

Yesterday I worked on the roof trusses but they are very delicate so today I plan on adding additional bracing to try to stiffen them. I also sprayed a stake truck and a set of miners with clear flat so they can be "dirtied up".

Dale it sounds like you have a very nice  area around your home. We were in Durango last year.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Dale you did an awesome job on the wharf and buildings. Are the rails actually metal or thin wooden strips simulating rail? The shape seems strange...to me anyway! ::)

I second Rick's comment.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, muffins, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 73F and very humid. We recieved some minor rain last night about 9 pm.

Yesterday I painted (per instructions) then attached the shingles to the sub roof and colored the hoist house roof joices while still on the carrier sheet and left to dry overnight. I also purchased the SW Brass and Iron Foundry from the SW site. ;D

Today after chores I will be assembling the roof joices. It appears that the roof will be removable on the hoist house.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning All,

Thank you Rick for opening and breakfast. Enjoy your hike.

Slept through the night for the 3rd night. I could get used to this! ;D  Yesterday on the kit I built 2 wooden ladders and attached them and added a few more details to the diorama.

Today after chores is putting shingles on the thick cardboard roof. I will have to decide whether to use Brett's shingles or ones I already have.

Philip I don't envy you doing concrete in the heat. It's hard work.

Mike safe travels to you and your daughter. Hopefully she doesn't fly through Newark.

I hope everyone has a good day.
