Back Again,

Karl sorry to hear about the cat. Been there....done that and it sucks!!!!!!!!

Philip I don't use paint to color 3D prints to look like wood. Blick.com sells single full sticks of different colored chalks by Rembrandt about $4.95 each; well worth the money. Drop me a PM and I can give you the colors I use if you're interested.

Philip,

Thanks for the kind words.  My Orthopod replaced my other hip in 2016... knows what he's doing and is good at it, so I'm hopeful.

Stay safe!

Well guys you did it now! I'm looking at my hot water heater and wondering about it! I remember dragging the new one down the steps, opening the box and it had a giant dent in it. Returned it to Lowes and made them open the replacement before checkout. 2002 Maybe GULP....

Pete, I had a steroid 7 day treatment that cured me so far. The pain was so bad and was hobbling around. I need a new hip. I hope you find relief!

Great model Jeff!

No men, I'm not climbing tipples anymore. That is for the brave and bold. Those boys are crazy!

Karl, Sorry about your cat... The 20 mule team is around 1/48th I think. I used a mule on other projects and they look ok, perhaps a bit large. Must be the oats!

I have a question for the group.
What kinda paint do you use on castings and 3d prints that are suppose to look like wood? I have been experimenting and tried some cheap "melted chocolate". I think I have found a presentable match but it is still tends to be dark like furniture? Thanks~

Mornin,' All!

28, feels like 28, headed for 36 (!!!) and very still out there under the northern mitten grey blanket today.  Gale warnings are still in effect, so....  It is what it is....

Orthopod visit yesterday produced a requirement for a series of cortisone shots and a "we'll see" analysis.  Bursitis and arthritis... who knew?  Shots start tomorrow, so perhaps I'll be able to go down to the layout this week and do stuff I should have been able to do weeks ago.  Perhaps....

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Tom as usual your work is first class.
Really like your tutorial you can learn a lot even if your not building this kit!
